Maak je klaar voor een relaxte, meeslepende peddeltocht door een van Florida's mooiste natuurlijke pareltjes: Rock Springs Run. Tijdens deze begeleide kajaktour reis je naar een ongerepte wereld die veel lijkt op toen de Timucuan-stammen hier ooit woonden. Je gids leidt je door kristalhelder water dat langs zand-dennenstruikgewas, weelderig jungle-achtig gebladerte en serene dennenplatbossen slingert. Houd tijdens het peddelen je ogen open voor schildpadden die zonnen op boomstammen, speelse otters die door het water glijden, witstaartherten en zelfs af en toe een zwarte beer in de verte. Vogels zijn overal - zilverreigers, reigers, misschien zelfs een gestreepte uil of kale arend boven het hoofd. Het is een heen-en-terug avontuur: we peddelen eerst stroomopwaarts, duiken onder laaghangende takken en kronkelen door zachte kronkels. Onderweg heb je de tijd om in te springen en te zwemmen in de verfrissend koele, gin-heldere bron. Dan is het een ontspannen drift terug stroomafwaarts met de stroming, genietend van de bezienswaardigheden en geluiden van de oude Florida wildernis.

I cannot think of enough positive adjectives to use to describe how amazing our guide Sue was on our adventure. From the very beginning, she so incredibly friendly, and energetic. You can tell she loves being a guide. Throughout the adventure, she was incredibly knowledgeable about the wildlife and vegetation. She was amazingly patient, as we have only gone kayaking a couple of other times and she offered great instruction and challenges in the best possible ways. She made it all so much FUN, she is so personable. We would recommend her to anyone who would like to have a great adventure and we will request her again if we are back in the area. We decided last minute to do this tour…so glad we did. What an awesome experience, would definitely do again and again. Jimi was our guide and he was wonderful and so knowledgeable about everything nature. Also great at spotting all the wildlife, alligators, all kinds of birds, turtles and plant life. I highly recommend the 3 hour tour, the extra time is great. My husband and I were able to share a kayak so he could row while I took pictures.

Sue was an amazing guide, she is very kind and informative. We saw lots of amazing wildlife including Manatees and an American Bald eagle! We felt very safe and Sue really went out of her way to ensure that we had the best possible experience. Sue took some amazing photos of us and the memories we made will last a lifetime. We paddled the 3-hour eco tour with our guide Sue and a small group of 8 new friends. The creek is mostly shallow and crystal clear. Weather was perfect for a quick swim too. Rock Springs Run is a true gem of nature with its beauty and serenity. Sue makes this kayak trip inclusive for all levels of experience, providing ongoing instruction and encouragement to newbies while allowing the more experienced to lead ahead. She engaged in enthusiastic conversations with participants and provided ecological information throughout the trip. I highly recommend this kayak tour with Sue.

Our guide Sue has not given us only a wonderful kayaking tour on the Emerald River, she gave us a deep inside of the geology, the vegetation, and of the animals, even a historical background of this part of Florida. A must see and when you come, come in the morning. Great job Sue!
