Breathtaking views from the very start. As soon as you get out of town have your camera ready! Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. THe cable car rides were stunning. Once you reach the glacier observation area, there is an additional set of stairs and bridge to a higher point. Spectacular view for those brave and physically able. We ate fondue at the restaurant and it was very tasty. We stopped at Montreux on the way back. You could visit the Queen rock group museum or walk along Lake Geneva. Those that went to the museum liked it. The pick-up/drop-off site is easy to get to by subway train. We enjoyed the day and would recommend to you.
Great way to see the natural beauty of Switzerland. Lots to do at the top. Highly recommend hiking the ridge line.
The tour does not stop at the devil's which is a shame. He's going straight to the glacier. The view is spectacular. For those with health or mobility problems (back problems for example) there are assessors but at some point you have to climb stairs.
The natural experience was wonderful. We lucked out on the weather - it was a bright, sunny day and the views were breathtaking. The human experience was less than satisfactory: Babis our tour guide was average at his job and his manner was rude and insensitive. As was the guy manning the ski lift - not sure if it’s the general Swiss comportment but those interactions left a bad taste.
Perfect. Feel free to A place more than magic
It's a taste of Switzerland! The mountain could still be very cold during Spring time. In our case, it's -16 degree. Don't forget to bring warm clothes, hat, and gloves with you!
I don't normally do group tours but getting to Riviera Col du Pillon seemed too complicated to change trains onto a bus, etc. This tour was worth it and made the visit very convenient. On this tour, Christoph, picked us up in a bus and took us up the windy mountain roads to the Cable car experience up to the Peak Walk. There was nothing I had to think about which made it less stressful to plan and the ability to take a nap on the bus and just enjoy the Peak Walk. On this kind of a tour, the guide is not giving you a history of the are or any extensive speeches (which I was fine with). I know some other tour guides come with telling you all about he history and everything. I was really fine with the transportation and ushering. I would highly recommend! The Peak Walk was worth a visit!
Warm clothes should be provided because at the top it can be very cold and good sunglasses. Do not forget to bring an umbrella in case it rains in Montreux. The driver is very friendly and he drives very well. The landscapes are beautiful.
Tom was an amazing host and driver, we had a wonderful time! Due to the current season, the peak had very few visitors, and we were fortunate to have beautiful clear weather, allow us to see many of the surrounding mountains in the distance.
Amazing experience! The accommodations on the bus were very comfortable. Every step was explained so you knew what options you had for experiences and when you had to be where. Our guide Thomas was excellent. Very knowledgeable, approachable, full of interesting and fun facts about the area. He made the day even more enjoyable. I also want to thank everyone involved in helping retrieve my husbands phone that he had left on the bus. Thank you so much for making it easy!!
