Deze tour combineert alle belangrijke en groene natuurgebieden van Rio (Tijuca Forest, Prainha, Dois Irmãos Park, Chico Mendes Lagoon) en stopt bij 7 verschillende attracties in 4 parken. Binnen 1 dag bezoek je deze parken die niet gemakkelijk toegankelijk zijn en voorkomen in de klassieke tours en ervaar je alle verschillende ecosystemen in Rio (strand, bergen, tropisch regenwoud, watervallen, lagune, mangrove). 1) Penhasco Dois Irmãos Park - een geweldig uitzicht op Leblon en Ipanema 2) Tijuca Forest National Park: 3 attracties Chinese View-top, Taunay-waterval en Canoas-top 3) Lunchpauze (niet inbegrepen) 4) Chico Mendes Lagoon - een mangrove waar het mogelijk is om kaaimannen en capibara's te zien 5) Prainha - een beschermd en afgelegen strand, omgeven door bergen en regenwoud. Maak een wandeling over het strand of neem een duik in de oceaan. 6) Mirante do Roncador - geweldig uitzichtpunt met een geweldig uitzicht op de "Slapende Reus", de bergketen van Rio * Deze tour brengt GEEN bezoek aan Christ Redeemer, Sugar Loaf

We bezoeken het Penhasco Dois Irmãos Park, een schattig natuurpark dat de grens vormt tussen het strand en het regenwoud en de bergen. Je bevindt je een beetje hoger met een prachtig uitzicht op de stranden van Ipanema en Leblon en ook op de lagune en Christus Verlosser. (er is wat wandelen maar niet wandelen op de heuvels van Dois Irmãos).
De Chinese View-top heeft een van de beste uitzichten in Rio en is een van de weinige plaatsen waar je Sugar Loaf en Christus Verlosser in hetzelfde kader kunt zien en vastleggen. De schilderachtige plek heeft ook een pagode gebouwd in Chinese stijl ter ere van een groep Chinese boeren die in het begin van de 20e eeuw immigreerden.
De Taunay-waterval is de hoogste in het Tijuca Forest National Park en erg geliefd bij de lokale bevolking. We stoppen dicht bij de watervallen om de schoonheid te bewonderen, de druppels te voelen en ook een oude brug te bezoeken die in 1860 is gebouwd en die nu is gemengd en samengesteld met het tropische ranforest eromheen. Geweldige plek voor foto's en om je "in het bos" en weg van de stad te voelen.
We stoppen bij deze top en zien Pedra da Gavea, de hoogste monoliet dicht bij de oceaan ter wereld, en Pedra Bonita, de berg waar de deltavliegers opstijgen. Deze 2 prachtige bergen maken deel uit van het verbazingwekkende en unieke landschap van Rio de Janeiro en je hebt een zeer dichtbij uitzicht op de bergen, het bos en de oceaan. Na deze attractie stoppen we voor een lunchpauze.
Na de lunchpauze bezoeken we Marapendi Park, een mangrove- en lagunegebied. Op dit park nemen we een rit van 10 minuten. lopen (het is vlak terrein - niet omhoog wandelen). Op de lagune is het mogelijk om capibara's en kaaimannen te zien en ook nog wat meer wilde dieren zoals vogels, hagedissen en meer. Deze stop laat zien hoeveel verschillende ecosystemen binnen de grenzen van Rio kunnen veranderen.
Prainha is een klein, beschermd en afgelegen strand in de westelijke zone van Rio, dat wordt beschouwd als de beste surfplek van de stad. Het is erg mooi, met overal regenwoud, bergen en rotsen. We krijgen de kans om het te bezoeken, wat foto's te maken en misschien wat kokoswater te drinken terwijl we genieten van de weelderigheid van dit gebied.
Uitzichtpunt op de West Rio, in Prainha Nature Park met een prachtig uitzicht op de 'Sleeping Giant', de bergwoede van Rio die ook een lokale legende is.

A truly wonderful experience; perfectly consistent with what was described on the website. Gustavo was an exceptional guide: knowledgeable, kind, and very friendly! I went on this tour with biologist guide Louiza. The tour was incredible! The forest and park was magical! Our guide was a true expert about the plants, animals and history of the park. We saw fantastic plants, waterfalls and ruins. A wonderful day - I highly recommend this tour and Louiza is the best!

For nature lovers this is a must. The forest, the mountains, the waterfalls and stunning views, you have it all.The tour guide was very knowledgeable and did very best to show what the other side of Rio is. We want to share that this tour has been one of the best we have done. The experience was truly enriching, largely thanks to Mr Gustavo, who served as an exceptional guide. His knowledge, charisma and way of explaining every detail made the tour something very special. The tour includes a visit to several natural parks, allowing us to appreciate the different ecosystems that make up them. This is a small group, which creates a very familiar and close Mood. The combination of the landscape with the guide’s explanations makes the experience truly unforgettable — even more so if you are lucky enough to have a guide like Gustavo.

The guide is very knowledgeable and friendly and the information provided was interesting. One downside (which I was not expecting) was that the tour involves quite a few hours of sitting in the car in order to drive between the stops.

We appreciate you highlighting the travel time; as the tour covers distinct parts of the city, some driving is unfortunately necessary. We have several other tours with a shorter drive and more hours in nature, hiking. But the idea of this tour is to cover many areas, 7 different attractions to show how diverse is RIo's nature (mountains, rainforest, waterfall, view points, beaches and mangrove). To visit all these places in 1 day we need the vehicle and some drive between each one of the attractions.

Every stop was an opportunity to learn a little bit about the history of Brazil, Gustavo is a passionate guide and we spent one of our best days in Rio with him. Prainha's favorite.
