Llanos de Cortes Waterval Om uw dag te beginnen, nemen we u mee naar de waterval Llanos de Cortes in Bagaces, waar u kunt ontspannen en een duik kunt nemen in de watervallen of rond kunt lopen om de flora en fauna te verkennen. Rio Celeste Waterval Wandeling - Tenorio Volcano National Park Bij aankomst bij de ingang maakt u een matig zware wandeling van 2 uur in het park. U wandelt door het regenwoud en langs de rivier de Celeste waar u een van de meest intrigerende verschijnselen van de natuur kunt observeren. Biologische boerderij - Luiaard en Kikker Sanctuary Na de lunch maak je een rondleiding op een landelijke biologische boerderij! Je wordt meegenomen op een inspirerende en leerzame wandeling, waarbij je de natuurwonderen laat zien zoals tropische planten, bloemen, vogels, luiaards, kikkers, slangen, insecten en nog veel meer dieren die de boerderij bewonen.

LLanos de Cortes Waterval Ontdek de verborgen parel van de waterval Llanos de Cortez, weggestopt te midden van de ongerepte landschappen van de regio Guanacaste. Terwijl je je een weg baant door het tropische woud, wordt het geluid van cascaderend water luider, wat je aankomst in dit natuurwonder aangeeft. De aanblik van de waterval is ronduit adembenemend, met zijn kristalheldere water dat over met mos bedekte rotsen in een rustig zwembad beneden tuimelt. Neem een verfrissende duik in het koele water, omgeven door weelderig groen en de symfonie van de natuur. Ontspan op de zanderige oevers, koesteren in de warme zon, en genieten van de rust van dit afgelegen paradijs. Het is de perfecte afsluiting van een dag vol avontuur en verkenning.
U begint uw wandeling binnen de ongerepte grenzen van Tenorio Volcano National Park, eerst op weg naar de betoverende Rio Celeste Waterval, waar het kristalheldere water sierlijk van een ruige klifwand naar beneden stroomt, waardoor een scène van ongeëvenaarde schoonheid ontstaat. Je begint aan een begeleide wandeling over paden die door het dichte regenwoud kronkelen, omgeven door een symfonie van exotische vogelroepen. Uw deskundige Gids zal inzichten delen in de rijke biodiversiteit van de regio en wijzen op unieke plantensoorten en wilde dieren die deze ongerepte wildernis thuis noemen. Als je de waterval nadert, zul je versteld staan van de majestueuze waterval van turkooiskleurig water die dramatisch in een rustig zwembad beneden tuimelt. Sta versteld van dit natuurlijke spektakel, voel de koele mist en de pure kracht van de natuur. Jungle Life Luiaardreservaat Nadat je jezelf hebt ondergedompeld in de adembenemende schoonheid van Rio Celeste, gaat onze reis verder naar het Jungle Life Luiaardreservaat, waar je de zeldzame kans hebt om deze innemende wezens van dichtbij te ontmoeten. Genesteld in het groene regenwoud, biedt het heiligdom een veilige haven voor luiaards die uit verschillende situaties zijn gered. Leer meer over hun gedrag, gewoonten en de inspanningen om ze te beschermen terwijl je deze fascinerende dieren in hun natuurlijke habitat observeert. Je Gids zal ook natuurlijke wonderen laten zien, zoals tropische planten, bloemen, vogels, luiaards, kikkers, slangen, insecten en meer!

Daphne was a great friendly and knowledgeable tour guide. Frank was a good safe driver. The guides at the sloth adventure were very good at finding sloths and tree frogs l to view..would have been nice to slow down a bit on the rainforest hike.
We had such a great time! Pickup was effortless and efficient, and the transportation was very well coordinated. On top of this, the price was well worth the time we had on this excursion; definitely a must-do experience!

The hiking was a challenge for me but I loved it. The lunch was delicious and the guide Daphnée was a gem! Smiling, answers questions, and accompanies you throughout the day. We were lucky enough to see a sloth with its baby 🥰, frogs, a lizard, and more. The views were magnificent and the waterfall really refreshing. Thanks also to the driver Frank! Exorbitant price $398 to see 2 sloths, 1 toucan, and a frog without having the time to observe them. On the other hand, more than an hour for their explanations about coffee and cocoa with a certain amount of pressure for us to buy. I won't even mention the visit to their national park, a forced march to see a waterfall where access is impossible, too many people, and we didn't see any animals; the guide was in too much of a hurry to get back. Don't believe the postcard image they try to make you believe; it's really fake. Personally, I will never come back here!!!

We would like to clarify that wildlife sightings are naturally unpredictable, and the number or type of animals seen cannot be guaranteed or controlled by us or our guides. Our guides always do their best to help guests spot wildlife while respecting the animals and their natural environment. Regarding Rio Celeste, it is one of the most visited national parks in Costa Rica because of its exceptional natural beauty. As a result, on some days it can be considerably more crowded than usual. Unfortunately, the number of visitors is beyond our control, but our guides do their best to manage the timing and give everyone the opportunity to enjoy the waterfall. The tour also follows a set itinerary and schedule so that all included activities can be completed; the pace is therefore based on the established times rather than rushing guests unnecessarily. Dafne is an amazing guide, extremely knowledgeable and such a great personality! Alex at the sloth sanctuary was a delight. Everyone involved in the tour was friendly, helpful and enthusiastic, which made our day SO PERFECT! We got to see toucans, Rufus mot mots, eyelash pit vipers, woodpeckers, two- and three-toes sloths, countless butterflies and even a couple of curious ponies.

Beautiful day at Llanos de Cortes. We swam in the natural pool surrounding the waterfall. Pleasant temperature. Worth a quick swim and some great photos. Saw Howler monkeys in the trees above. Next we went to the Sloth natural reserve. Saw 3-4 sloths but were treated by one climbing down from his tree to take care of his weekly bathroom run. Also saw lots of other wildlife here. The lunch was amazing with lots of native Costa Rican foods. Toucans played in the trees right by our dining area. Finally we made it to Rio Celeste only in time for it to pour. We did successfully make it to the falls but the water lost its blue color due to all the silt from the rain. The falls did have an impressive amount of water pouring down. As the rain finished up, we headed back down and all the wildlife emerged- a family of Coati, a Capuchin monkey, a Motmot, an anole, walking sticks, etc. We all very much enjoyed the day.

10/10! Carlos and Alfredo were awesome from the beginning. Picked us up at our front door made it super easy. Alfredo was a great driver and got us everywhere safe and sound. He was very knowledgeable on where wildlife was in certain areas of the country. Carlos was the absolute best. He was personable, smart, kind and a great guide to be around. He submersed us into the Costa Rican culture! If you are looking for the perfect guide, Carlos is your guy! The tour was great, we saw so many sloth, hikes were moderate, communication was excellent we knew what to expect at every stop. Rudy gave us a wonderful history lesson in the van. Very comfortable ride to each stop.
