Rinjani Trekking 2D1N Senaru kraterrand

We did the 2 day 1 night hike, and I highly recommend booking with Rinjani Sunrise! Communication to organise was easy, and our guide Ir was amazing. He is so knowledgeable about the mountain and the jungle we were lucky to learn from him. It's a challenging hike, but Ir and the porters made it a great experience!

We booked the 2 day/1 night Rinjani Crater Rim hike and loved every minute. Mus and the team are incredibly friendly and helpful, making sure you're best prepared for the day ahead. The hike itself is a real challenge, taking 5+ hours depending on fitness, but with plenty of breaks. The porters (who carry your food, tent, bedding, etc.) are absolute heroes and the guide was super helpful and friendly throughout. Couldn't recommend this more if you want a physical challenge with one hell of a reward!

Rinjani Sunrise is hands down the best company. If you want excellent service, amazing food, and a company that cares about the environment, this is the one. We booked the 2D1N crater rim trek just 2 days in advance (we were sort of winging our trip) and they accommodated us easily. Organising it was efficient and pleasant. We were picked up from Kuta Lombok, taken to the accommodation which was basic but clean, escorted to the nearby waterfall, and then briefed by the friendly manager. Our guide, Dani, was simply amazing: he was friendly, got us safely up, kept us at a good pace, and picked up so much litter along the way up! Between him, my boyfriend, and one of our porters, we filled about 4 large bags of trash! They are the only company that I saw that actually cares about the environment, others trash the place or just don't bother helping to clean up (another company's guide even sang about how he doesn't feel like picking up trash as he watched us!) Our lovely porters are also to be commended for their great job pitching the tent in a nice location, getting our food and gear up, and preparing the amazing food. Other trekkers were even taking photographs of our food, it looked so good. We are so glad to have gone up with them, and will definitely be back with them for the summit trek. Thank you Rinjani Sunrise for making this such a great experience.

Mu and his team took good care of me during the trip. They set up the camp where I can enjoy the magnificent sunset and also milky way. They also prepared amazing food, which was oyt of my expectation given the condition up there. Overall an amazing experience and I would recommend it to my family and friends.

We were so unimpressed with their organising. We booked, paid deposit and stated arrival date twice and when we arrived were not expected. They said we had not confirmed it with details. I did NOT recieve that email. I also corresponded with them at least twice with queries in the week before and there was no mention of reply to their said requests. We felt we could not trust them, websites with conflicting information,felt our luggage would not be safe(told to have good travel insurance), hotel not listed in the web...... After travelling 6 hours, 1 1/2 hours in car on lombock we decided not confident in this company and turned back. Went to Gilli Trawangan...great decision. Sad to the walk.

The two-day trek to the crater rim of the Rinjani can be described as a wonderful adventure. Beautiful nature, extreme views and that with an excellent organization. We did this trip with an untrained group of 7 friends. The climb was quite tough, but the descent is not to be underestimated. (I couldn't go up or down stairs the next day) But the view of the crater rim is unbelievably beautiful. A few tips? - During the day it was a pleasant 20 ° C, but at night at the top it cooled to 4 ° C, so warm clothes are not a luxury. - We did a day off to recover the next day. - Don't get too close to the monkeys. - Good luck!
