Vacationing and don’t know what might be interesting along the way? This is your answer! We did this along with another from Tahoe city to Incline Village. So many great tips about places to stop and formation about history of the area. Stop where you want and skip what you don’t. Easy flexible and affordable! Live it
Starting place needs to be pretty exact. Took a while to figure that out. Info about Tahoe history was something we would not have gotten without the tour. Ample opportunities for taking time at different stops.
We really overcomplicated this App when we first started, but once we realized we needed to let it do the work, it was super easy and informative. Basically, it's no-touch but gave great driving instructions, including where parking lots are located and lots of history and trivia about the area. We stopped at several places - some we had heard of and some we had not. It was a great way to spend an easy day exploring at our own pace. The one thing that would be nice to see however, would be if the directions would transfer to the auto's mapping system. But we coordinated them which was fine. All-in-all, it was a great App and a nice addition to our trip.
This was perfect for my husband and I. Self paced.. stopped where we wanted for as king as we wanted. Learned lots about the history of Tahoe. Highly recommend.
This was so informational and helped us find some unique stops we never would have found in our own, like Pope Manner. However, the last 4-6 stops towards Tahoe City had poor audio quality, which made it hard to hear through the vehicle Bluetooth at times.
Give yourself a couple of stops to become accustomed to the function of the experience. The narration and history are really good. It does pair with your GPS and will pause to allow you time to catch up if needed. Or will just keep up if you don’t stop at some of the points of interest. It was nice to have a second person in the car to help if anything was missed. And you can go back if you do miss something. We very much enjoyed this trip and found so many things we would have never known were there. We found it very much worth the money. One thing to note is that the starting point is not accessible. We just pulled into the next driveway, found a place to park and started there which was no problem. We did make a couple of wrong turns at Heavenly (user error) but quickly figured it out and got on the right track and the narration paused to allow us to get where we needed to go every time we stopped to take something in.
Hard to follow. Doesn’t sink to the map on its own. First time I’ve been disappointed by a viator tour.
Hi there, I'm sorry that you were unhappy with your experience. When you were having technical difficulties, did you contact VoiceMap support via email or telephone? Again, I'm sorry about the poor experience you had. Best, Helene
We completed all 3 of the self-guided tours around the lake. We struggled a little bit getting started with it and figuring out how it worked like starting & stopping. One of the directions didn’t seem to match up so it may need to be updated. Other than that found the information provided was really informative and help us complete a successful tour around the lake.
The stories told along the way were interesting. GPS location was very accurate. I’m glad my husband was driving because I’m afraid of heights and there were some true drop offs. Nail clenching beautiful views.
This audio program kept disconnecting while we were driving. When we restarted it it would revert back to the starting point. It also seemed to be unable to track where we were often telling us about a historic site or landmark after we had passed it. After about 30 minutes of frustration trying to get the app to work correctly we aborted our trip and went back to our hotel.
Hi there, I'm sorry that you were unhappy with your experience. Can you email more information to support@voicemap.me? This way, we can identify exactly what went wrong and process a refund if there was a technical issue. I'm sorry for your frustrating experience.
