Deze spannende functie begint op uw locatiepunt (hotel of cruiseterminal). Onze reis voert ons door de stad Castries en haar omgeving, waar uw deskundige en vriendelijke gids u zal wijzen op verschillende bezienswaardigheden. We gaan dan naar Roseau Valley waar ons rumproeverijavontuur echt begint. Tijdens de begeleide distilleerderijtour leer je over de geschiedenis en processen achter onze lokale rumproductie. De tour wordt afgesloten met een proeverij van verschillende rum/spirits. Nadat we naar Marigot Bay zijn gegaan, een schilderachtig dorp met prachtig uitzicht op zee voor wat frisse lucht en fotomomenten. De distilleerderij werd opgericht door Denis Barnard en produceerde rum tot 1972, toen St. Lucia Distillers ontstond uit de fusie van de Dennery-distilleerderij en de Roseau-distilleerderij. Deze geschiedenis met lijntekeningen is weergegeven op het etiket en de omdoos van het merk.

Reese is the man. He was very thoughtful, tool his time to explain everything and was on time. He waited for us and even made stops at some locals areas for my wife and i to take pictures. Will.definitely use his.company again.

Our driver Miguel was great! He was prompt picking us up from our resort. Our commute time was about an hour. During that time, he shared information on island history and island current events. He stopped a few times to allow us to take pictures overlooking parts of the island. He even showed us popular areas for food and shopping. When we arrived at the distillery Miguel took care of everything. All we had to do was walk through the gates and have a seat. Our tour guide Libby introduced herself and started us off with a 5 minute video of the distillery. We then had a tour of the property. Libby was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. It was obvious she enjoys what she does. It was nice to see that Carnival Culture is included in the tour. They have a walk through Carnival Room where you can view past Carnival Costumes and groove to island soca tunes. The Rum tasting was more than I could imagine. There were about 20 different Rums to taste. It was great! After the tasting you are able to purchase your favorite Rums and souvenirs. Miguel waited on property for us to complete the tour. On the way back to the resort he offered us Piton Beer to help us cool off. The weather was getting hotter and we were hot from all the Rum. The beer was refreshing…and needed. If I ever go back to St. Lucia I would do this tour again! It was so much fun. You learn a lot and get to drink all before noon!

Miguel was wonderful and the distillery was nice. They allowed us to do our own pours for the tasting and the stops along the way for photos was wonderful.

Good way to spend a couple hours and learn about the rum history of St. Lucia. I suggest you go directly yourself and not book through a tour. Price is very reasonable when you just pay for access at the factory.

The tour itself was quite good, the opportunity to try so many different rums was great, and our tour guide/driver Ed was terrific. He was friendly and knowledgeable and made the entire trip enjoyable.

The tour of the distillery was short; yet, informative. First, you watch a video on the history and production of rum on the island. There is plenty of time to ask questions. At the end of the tour, you are able to taste the products of the distillery. In addition to appreciating the rum, you are then able to make educated decisions on the bottles you wish to purchase. Another plus is that the prices at the distillery are quite low and much lower than at the resorts.

We went on the rum distillery tour and was taken there by Alen from Tram tours - although the rum your was great, what made it specially was Alen and his knowledge of the island and his friendly attitude. When we got in the car we were given and amazing gift bag with local treats including hot sauce, curry powder, etc. And on the way back Alen offered to stop and a road side food vendor where we had the most amazing pork, salad and mash mix. We’ve been on the island for 10 days and done a number of tours with different companies and Fran Tour have definitely been the best. Could recommend enough and that you Alen!
