Je begint met een schilderachtige rit buiten de middeleeuwse stad, richting Mandraki Harbour, waar ooit de legendarische Colossus stond. De haven is vol leven - vissersboten, jachten en de beroemde hertenbeelden verwelkomen bezoekers. Een korte wandeling brengt u naar de Kerk van de Aankondiging, bekend om zijn indrukwekkende fresco's. Toegang : gratis Waarom het bijzonder is : het is de perfecte introductie tot de mix van geschiedenis en modern leven van het eiland.
Vervolgens klim je naar Monte Smith Hill, waar je uitzicht hebt over de Egeïsche Zee. Hier verken je de Tempel van Apollo en het Oude Stadion, rustige herinneringen aan het klassieke verleden van Rhodos. Toegang : gratis Waarom het zo bijzonder is : de bries op een heuveltop en het panoramische uitzicht maken deze stop onvergetelijk.
Daarna reis je zuidwaarts door olijfgaarden en traditionele dorpjes tot je Lindos bereikt, het meest pittoreske dorpje van het eiland. Bezoek St. Paul's Bay, wandel door de witgekalkte steegjes, winkel voor handgemaakte items, of rijd op een ezel naar de Akropolis. Toegang tot de Akropolis: ca. 20 € per volwassene Waarom het bijzonder is : Lindos voelt als een ansichtkaart – elke hoek is prachtig.
Charaki is een prachtige plek aan zee geliefd bij de lokale bevolking. We stoppen hier zodat u kunt genieten van een verfrissende duik in kristalhelder water en ontspannen met een lunch aan zee. Het geschatte verblijf is 1 tot 1,5 uur
Na uw lunch bezoekt u Kallithea Springs voor een rustige wandeling door het historische complex. We had a private tour and we were able to see parts of Rhodes that we could not have otherwise. The lunch restaurant was wonderful.
We had a fantastic private tour of Lindos, Rhodes Town and surrounding areas. Our guide was very knowledgeable and had interesting bits of history from ancient Greece to modern times. We had enough free time to explore Lindos and Rhodes Old Town too. Overall the trip gave us great introduction to the island with plenty of ideas for further exploring.
This private tour is a must. We got to experience the island the way we wanted to. We visited the most picturesque spots on the island. We got some valuable advice from the tour guide as well.
arranging and communicating with George was easy and efficient. Driver Evangelios was superb .took us all over Rhodes and Lindos and had excellent knowledge and history of the different places we went to . Thank you and we hope.to book with you in the future
George Sialadakis our guide was really sweet and kind. The only set back was we did not get to go to the Valley of the Butterflies. Lindos was beautiful and the views from the Acropolis of Lindos was breathtaking.
What can I say! George was absolutely fantastic and went above and beyond in every way possible for us and made my honeymoon 10X better! Felt very relaxed and understood by George and very knowledgeable about Rhodes!! I honestly I couldn't imagen my honeymoon being as amazing as it was if we hadn't met George on the off-chance! Highly recommend George's tours. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience, and will recommend extra places of interest, restaurants and things to do during your tour. He was always on time and made the excursions interesting and fun. He always did the extra, and the trips were quite excellent.
George is a dream! He picked us up at the ferry and we spent a lovely day learning about Rhodes. George organized a beautiful lunch and beach excursion. We had about 7 hours in Rhodes between ferry rides. Our luggage was safe and sound and we were in excellent hands. I would have loved to have spent more time with him and would recommend him to anyone looking for a guide of superior knowledge. George is fun and kind and even provided great recommendations as our trip continued to Turkey. Do not hesitate if you are planning a trip to Rhodes. Better yet contact him before you go for hotel and restaurant recommendations!
We were met by a very nice, Germanspr. Driver picked up directly in front of our hotel. This worked great, we can only praise the driver W. at all. Unfortunately, it turned out after the first few minutes that the "sub-organization" is working with the trip - probably not got the right information regarding the tour. I find the description on the homepage of Trip. very vague when it says at Tripa.: You have the driver all to yourself for 5 to 8 hours. So we all assumed that we were on the road all day. If we want to be in the sights longer, you would just need more time. A flat rate, so to speak - that's how we understood it. This was how the product description was to be understood. I don't think it's clearly signposted. We had to Unfortunately, then talk intensively to the head of the Rhodes sub-organisation ... The boss in Rhodes always said we only booked the little tour, ... the end of the song was that we had to pay even more money. Very annoying everything. This overshadowed the whole day and the poor driver couldn't help it. So please when booking, ask exactly and prefer to call again.
