De eilandtour is je ideale gelegenheid om het lokale leven te ontdekken en de schoonheid van het eiland te ontdekken. De tour gaat door traditionele dorpjes en prachtige stranden. Het kasteel van Kritinia is een Venetiaans kasteel uit de 16e eeuw op een heuvel en biedt een adembenemend uitzicht op de Egeïsche zee. Wijnmakerij en olijfolieproducten proeven in het dorp van Embona, rijdend naar Profitis Ilias, een Italiaans hotel uit 1929 in het hart van het bos van dennen, ceders en eiken is een ideale stop voor foto's of koffie, de volgende stop is in Fountouklis, een Byzantijnse kerk van Saint Nikolaos, gebouwd in de 14e eeuw, ook een fotostop naar Saint Nektarios waar een enorme plataan groeit, de stam en natuurlijk een lunchpauze in een traditionele taverna in het dorp Eleousa in het bos!. Een laatste ontspannende stop in Kalithea Springs om te zwemmen of een drankje te drinken, een majestueuze plek die al sinds de oudheid bekend staat om de thermale bronnen. Een bezoek aan de tentoonstelling met oude foto's van het eiland Rhodos is een must!

Het kasteel van Kritinia (Kastello, voor de lokale bevolking), is een Venetiaans kasteel gebouwd in de 16e eeuw op een heuvel ongeveer 131 meter boven het dorp Kritinia. Het wordt beschouwd als de kiem van het dorp omdat het een adembenemend uitzicht biedt op de Egeïsche Zee, het eiland Chalki en enkele andere verlaten eilanden.
Gratis wijnproeverij en olijfolie proeven in het dorp van Embona! De wijnen worden geproduceerd door druiven van de wijngaarden te verzamelen, maar de bezoeker kan ook alle lokale wijnen uit de kleine familiefabrieken van het dorp vinden. Er zijn verschillende soorten wijn: droog, halfdroog, halfzoet, zoet, rood, wit en rosé. Alle wijnen zijn gemaakt in Embona. Bezoekers kunnen ook de zelfgemaakte wijnen proeven, zoals de Muscat, een zoete dessertwijn die perfect is gecombineerd met noten en vers fruit. Daarnaast zijn er veel likeuren gemaakt in Rhodos - ouzo met koffie, souma met honing, masticha en granaatappel. Aan de bar kunnen bezoekers gratis een grote verscheidenheid aan lokale wijnen proeven. Naast het huis is de distilleerderij voor souma. Souma is een lokale kleurloze alcoholische drank, geproduceerd uit de distillatie van druivendraf, en iedereen kan het gratis proeven. Olijfolie wordt ook geproduceerd en bezoekers kunnen honing van lokale producenten vinden.
In Profitis Ilias is het een klein resort - een 1929 Italiaans hotel in het hart van het bos van pijnbomen, ceders en eikenbomen, wat een ideale stop is voor foto's of koffie. De lodge is gebouwd in 1929 onder de Italiaanse bezetting en kreeg de naam Albergo del Cervo (Lodge of The Male Deer) vanwege het unieke hert dat de omliggende bossen bewoont.
In de buurt van het dorp Eleousa, in een landelijke omgeving in het bos, kunt u het klooster van Agios Nikolaos Fountoukli bezoeken. Is een Byzantijnse kerk die werd gebouwd in de 14e eeuw.
Kallithea Springs zijn gelegen aan de baai van Kallithea, op slechts 9 km van de stad Rhodos. Bekend sinds de oudheid vanwege hun therapeutische eigenschappen, werden de thermale bronnen van Kallithea door de Italianen gebruikt, in het begin van de 20e eeuw, omdat ze erg populair waren en bezoekers uit de hele wereld aantrokken. Tegenwoordig verwelkomen de gerenoveerde, majestueuze gebouwen van Kallithea Springs volledig gerestaureerd en smaakvol gerenoveerd en verwelkomen opnieuw honderden bezoekers per dag, een van de meest populaire attracties op het eiland Rhodos.

Excellent coach tour with driver Fillip and guide Helen who was very knowledgeable. An enjoyable day out discovering local archaeological sites, landmarks and countryside, we particularly liked the Mount Pr. llias area and would rather have spent more time there and around Eleousa. We found Kallithea a little odd, reminded us of a cross between Love Island and Towie!!!

Rhodos off the beaten path, with a lot of history and something different from commercial tours available. Michalis a very professional and educated guide providing a lot of info, really interesting for the history lovers
Thanks to our guide, Michael and all 3 bus drivers for a great day. A minor glitch when the bus broke down was sorted within 20 minutes and we were back on the road. We saw some amazing sites..Kamiros, Kritinia, Embona for lunch and wine tasting, pass by 2 churches and Eleousa, then onto Kallithea for beautiful photos. The day was good value and our guide was very knowledgeable about the historical sites and kept us entertained with personal stories throughout the day. There are quite a few steps at Kritinia so beware if you a bit unsteady. The coach was OK...seats standard so large people would find it a little cramped. It had air conditioning. All in all a good day and great value.
We took the Kariba Travel Rhodes Island Tour as part of our Wedding Anniversary Celebration and although the original Date had to be cancelled due to Health Reasons with a weeks delay, the wait sure was worth it. Full day 0905 - 1725 the whole Experience was Superb. The Mini-Bus Driver and the Tour Guide were both Excellent with the Latter’s extensive knowledge of the Island second to none. Well worth the Cost and if you are looking for an Excursion then look no further than Kariba, they sure will make your time well worth it.

Clean and comfortable small tour bus. Driver very capable and pleasant. Tour guide was very informative and had a easy to listen to, voice.(very important as some voices will get on nerves) lots to see and some spectacular views. Highly recommend this company.

This tour takes in a number of Rhodes highlights, including some we did last year on another tour.... It was a small group in a comfortable mini van.... The first stop was Krittinia Castle, and an opportunity for a coffee at a quaint roadside cafe with very rustic decor.. !!!! On to a very beautiful old church with beautiful faded frescos and an ancient fountain.... We went on to the highest Mountain Mountain but resort at Profilas Ilias -the beautiful Alpine Hotel was closed but there were nice forest walks, a cafe and an opportunity to visit the almost ruined house that was built for Mussolini - but which he never lived in... On then to the inevitable winnery for wine/spirit.local produce tastings.... most enjoyable after a succession of local spirits.. !!! One high light for us was lunch at a local village taverna.... a memorable lunch with our meze favourites.... A really enjoyable tour despite having visited some site before...
