The trip is fun and informative! Each ride between the vineyards is not that long. All in all very comfortable. Loved it!
Zoe was terrific! she was very nice and extremely knowledgeable. we visited 3 wineries in Reims and Epernay. we had a small group of 7 and had a great time . plenty of time to ask questions and tour the properties . the tastings were well organized and lots of fun. lunch was amazing as well . enough time to enjoy local food and take a break during the full day tour. highly recommend the tour and Zoe !
Great variety of vineyards. Learned the process and history of Champagne and it’s history. Visited 3 Champagne houses, all different. Lunch was amazing. Favorite day in France. Highly recommend. Thimas was great!
Dear Renee, Thank you so much for the incredible feedback! Hearing that your time with us was your favorite day in France truly means the world to our team. Thomas will be over the delighted to read your compliments about his tour. We’re so grateful for your recommendation and hope to see you again soon! Best regards, A la Française Team 🥂
We had a few great experiences at different Champagne houses. We absolutely loved Mums. And we walked into La Clos Corbier just as they were doing their bottling process and got to watch. As far as tastings that house was just ok. The 3rd house we didn't care for the Champagne at all. Our guide Markane was kind and knowledgeable and took us to a few beautiful look outs.
Dear Mary, So glad Mumm left such a strong impression, and what perfect timing at Le Clos Corbier to catch the bottling process in action, those spontaneous moments are truly special! Marcainne will be happy to hear his kindness and knowledge came through, and we are glad the scenic lookouts added a beautiful touch to the day. Champagne has a way of pulling people back, and we hope to see you again soon in the region! Best regards, A la Française Champagne Team 🥂
This was one of the best tours that we’ve ever been on, and we’ve been on a LOT. Our guide Thomas was so knowledgeable, but he also made it feel like spending the day with a friend, not a tour guide. We learned a lot, tasted so much champagne I lost count, and had a wonderful meal outside at one of the vineyards. The small group size was perfect - the six of us had a fantastic time together, even though we all just met at the beginning of the day. We easily did this tour as a day trip from Paris, trains were easy to navigate and the meeting spot was steps away from the train station. We were completely taken care of the entire day…if you’re looking to experience the champagne region in a day trip - this is it!
Dear Kristin, What an incredible compliment, one of the best tours you've ever been on! Thomas will be over the moon to read this, making the day feel like time with a friend rather than a guide is exactly what we hope for. So glad the group of six clicked so easily, and that the trains and timing from Paris made the whole day effortless! Champagne has a way of pulling people back, and we hope to see you again soon in the region! Best regards, A la Française Champagne Team 🥂
Great! Comfortable tour, great knowledge from our guide (Anne) and of course, amazing champagne. Highly recommend
Dear Amelia, What a lovely feedback! Anne will be so happy to read this, and we are glad the Champagne lived up to expectations as always! A bientôt in Champagne, we hope to see you back very soon! Best regards, A la Française Champagne Team 🥂
We were met on time, friendly and knowledgeable guide. The day was very interesting and great value for money- wonderful food and champagne tasting. It was a shame we couldn’t walk around the vineyards due to rain. The second cellar tour was a little repetitive from the Mumm tour. We had a great day, thank you so much.
Bonjour, So glad the food, the tastings and the guide made for such a great day! On the rain, unfortunately the weather is the one thing we cannot control, but we are happy it did not dampen the spirit of the day! Champagne has a way of pulling people back, and we hope to see you again soon in the region! Best regards, A la Française Champagne Team 🥂
Tour consisted of a visit to a large Champagne house (Mumm), a couple smaller, and stops at the place where Dom Perignon is buried plus some scenic views. Our guide was pleasant and understandable. She knew the Champagne details, but was light on geography and geology. At Mumm, the first stop, she had to drop us off and pick us up 1.5 hours later, as the house has its own guides. I was disappointed that Mumm only provided a single tasting (all othes provided 3). The house definitely has a *vast* estate below ground! Lunch was included at our 2nd stop by the producer. The courses were paired with different Champagnes, described by a staff member. Strangely, our guide again left us for the duration of this visit. I feel we got a good overview of Champagne and a selection of producers at multiple sizes. I do wish the tour guide had been more 'engaged'.
Dear Bill, We are glad the day gave you a good overview of Champagne across different scales, from the vast cellars of Mumm to the more intimate family producers. On the guide stepping back at Mumm, this is actually required by the Maison itself as their visits are exclusively conducted by their own in-house guides. Our guide is unfortunately not permitted to accompany guests during this part of the tour. On the single tasting at Mumm, this is indeed what is included in their visit format and is not something we are able to influence. Your feedback is genuinely taken on board and we hope Champagne will bring you back one day! Best regards, A la Française Champagne Team 🥂
We stayed in Épernay and did the Moet tour followed by lunch at a small champagne grower/producer. Our guide was Eva and she was a knowledgeable and friendly lady who helped make the day flow smoothly. Moet and Chandon tour was very impressive in scale and professional in execution. The small family growers were producing just a few thousand bottles a year- it was an interesting counterpoint and experience to the big champagne houses. You will get offered a lot of different champagnes to try in the day- pace yourself! We thought the lunch was the last stop but there was one more. Nice to buy a bottle or two from the small producers and support their family business.
Bonjour, Eva will be so happy to read this! That contrast between the scale of Moët & Chandon and the intimacy of a small family grower producing just a few thousand bottles a year is exactly the journey we love taking our guests on. Champagne is best enjoyed more than once, and we would love to be part of your next visit! Best regards, A la Française Champagne Team 🥂
Incredible! Three very different champagne producers with so much great education and wonderful tastings. Ava, our guide, was fantastic!!
Dear Jennifer, Thank you for your lovely review! We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed visiting the three different Champagne producers and that the tastings and educational insights made the experience so memorable. We hope to welcome you in the future! Best regards, A LA FRANCAISE CHAMPAGNE TEAM
