Down Under Cruise and Dive van Evolution, een luxe superjacht van 35 meter. Dit pakket omvat een volledige dag naar het buitenste Great Barrier Reef op twee prachtige riflocaties, met 5 uur riftijd plus een schilderachtige helikoptervlucht van 10 minuten over het rif. Duiken zijn alleen inbegrepen in het duikpakket (niet het snorkelpakket). Je ervaart het rif van boven en onder!

Inchecken bij Reef Fleet Terminal tussen 7.15 - 7.45 uur. Zodra u bent ingecheckt, kunt u naar de boot, Evolution, gaan. U wordt begroet door uw vriendelijke bemanning, die u voorziet van maskers en snorkels, en daarna geniet u van aankomstthee, koffie en muffins voor vertrek.
Evolution vertrekt om 8 uur 's ochtends vanuit Cairns met een veiligheidsbriefing op weg naar uw eerste riflocatie. Na 1 uur en 30 minuten arriveert u bij de eerste riflocatie. Dit zal Saxon Reef of Norman Reef zijn, afhankelijk van de weersomstandigheden en de helderheid van het water, om de beste ervaring voor alle activiteiten te garanderen.
Geniet van een BBQ-lunch aan boord (er wordt rekening gehouden met speciale dieetwensen). Het menu bestaat uit een Australische barbecue met verse vis, biefstuk, garnalen en een verscheidenheid aan salades en brood.
Evolution arriveert bij de tweede riflocatie, Hastings Reef. Hier geniet u van uw inbegrepen 10 minuten durende helikoptervlucht. Bewonder het schilderachtige uitzicht op het Great Barrier Reef van bovenaf. Dit is een onvergetelijke ervaring. Er is ook tijd om te snorkelen. Als u liever droog blijft, leun dan achterover en geniet van het uitzicht over onze drie dekruimtes die beschikbaar zijn om te loungen.
Als u na een hele dag in het paradijs terugkeert naar het vasteland, geniet u van een gratis afternoon tea met kaas, koekjes en een glas wijn terwijl u proost op een geweldige dag op het Great Barrier Reef. Evolution arriveert rond 16.30 uur weer in Cairns.

- Inchecken kan vanaf 7.15 uur bij Reef Fleet Terminal, 1 Spence Street, Cairns. Ga naar de Down Under Cruise and Dive-balie om in te checken. De boot vertrekt stipt om 8.00 uur.
- Vanwege het comfort, het gewicht en de balans van het vliegtuig is de gewichtslimiet voor helikopters 130 kg. Neem rechtstreeks contact op met de leverancier voor meer informatie.
- Alle duikers zijn verplicht een medische vragenlijst in te vullen. Om de veiligheid van onze gasten te waarborgen, moeten duikers ouder dan 65 jaar een medische verklaring van een arts hebben die bevestigt dat ze geschikt zijn om te duiken. Houd er rekening mee dat voor bepaalde medische aandoeningen (bijv. Astma, hartaandoeningen, diabetes) en ALLE voorgeschreven medicijnen een brief of e-mail van een arts nodig is om te mogen duiken. Deze toestemming moet uw volledige naam vermelden, de naam van de arts en praktijk en de toestemming om te duiken voor de specifieke medicijnen/aandoening. Bekijk de medische vragenlijst van de operator en de algemene voorwaarden voordat u op reis gaat.
- Bewijs van duikkwalificatie (certificeringskaart) is vereist van alle duikers die willen deelnemen aan een gecertificeerde duik.
- Kinderen onder de 12 jaar (inleidend) en 10 jaar (gediplomeerde duikers) mogen niet deelnemen aan duikactiviteiten aan boord volgens de Australische wet van Queensland.
- Kinderen onder de 18 jaar moeten in direct gezelschap zijn van een ouder of wettelijke voogd.
- Duiken binnen 24 uur voor uw vlucht is niet toegestaan.
- Speciale dieetwensen moeten ten minste 24 uur voorafgaand aan de reis rechtstreeks bij de touroperator worden bevestigd. Veganistische, vegetarische, glutenvrije en zuivelvrije opties zijn beschikbaar.

Planning to visit the Great Barrier Reef? Go with Down Under Cruise and Dive. Seriously! Over the past year, I’ve visited the reef four times with four different tour operators, so I have something to compare. Out of all of them, Down Under Cruise and Dive was by far the best. From the moment we boarded, the entire team was energetic, professional, and incredibly well organised. They worked so hard to make sure every guest had a smooth, safe, and unforgettable experience. You can really tell they care about what they do. We did our very first introductory scuba dive with Phil. As complete beginners, we were quite nervous, but Phil was patient, reassuring, and explained everything so clearly. By simply following his instructions, we were able to experience the reef up close in a way we’ll never forget. It was one of the most amazing moments of our lives. At the second reef, we also took the 10 minute helicopter flight. Seeing the Great Barrier Reef from above was absolutely breathtaking. It felt surreal watching those famous turquoise reefs and coral formations with our own eyes instead of through photos. If your budget allows, I highly recommend adding the helicopter flight. It’s worth every dollar. A special shout out to Eddie. Throughout the entire day, he was everywhere, making sure guests were looked after and that every activity ran smoothly. With so many people doing different activities, I was genuinely impressed by how hard he worked and how positive he stayed all day. Thank you Eddie! Gamsahamnida! If I visit the Great Barrier Reef again, I’ll definitely choose Down Under Cruise and Dive again without hesitation. I’ll also be recommending them to all of my friends and family. If you want to experience the very best day on the Great Barrier Reef, this is the team to go with.
The highlight of our trip to Cairns! Diving in the reef was a once in a lifetime experience, then coupling it with the helicopter flight... There are no words for it. The crew were exceptional; friendly, accommodating and very knowledgeable. I would recommend this trip to any and everyone.
Perfect team, planing and experience. The food was perfect, we had snorkeling, diving and helicopter with them and all went perfect.
I was skeptical at first because I'm not a strong swimmer, but the crew were incredibly helpful and supportive throughout the trip. They took us to two reef locations, and there was also an optional scenic flight available. I chose the helicopter ride back to Cairns, and it was absolutely magnificent. Boarding a helicopter from the middle of the ocean was such a unique and unforgettable experience. I would highly recommend going with Down Under Cruise and Dive.
Exciting day of adventures hosted by a wonderful crew. Unexpected amenities made the day comfortable and enjoyable. Loved the snorkeling and helicopter ride. One of our top excursions ever and well-worth the cost.

We booked this tour because it included the helicopter ride, but when we arrived to check in we were told that it had been cancelled, we were told that because the boat that was taking you there was in men
Fantastic experience, reef stops were spectacular and helicopter add on was worth it to see the reefs from above and to experience the sheer volume. The staff on board were amazing, most went above and beyond and were so welcoming and humorous. The only slight negative comment I have to make is the photographer was not very approachable or helpful, thousands of photos taken and it was a case of scrolling through and looking, when most people were wearing stinger suits and masks it was like looking for a needle in a haystack and she was not interested in helping anyone, in fact was quite unapproachable and rude. The rest of the crew more than made up for it though, so helpful and funny. The food and drink was delicious and plentiful.
Great day at the barrier reef. Great snorkelling spots with loads of coral and wildlife to see up close. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely food provided for lunch.
