Welkom bij Red Rock Canyon! Dit duizelingwekkend kleurrijke landschap dient als venster op het geologische verleden van de aarde en de menselijke geschiedenis in Amerika. Opmerking : Deze 13 + mijl lange tour behandelt de essentie van Red Rock in 4 - 5 uur. Nieuw, Levenslang toegang, geen vervaldatum. Gebruik het altijd, op elke reis, zo vaak als je wilt.
Tegenwoordig zijn de Calico Hills heuvels van hard, rood gesteente, maar 180 miljoen jaar geleden zagen ze er heel anders uit. Destijds zou je in plaats daarvan een enorm veld van stuifzandduinen vinden.
Verderop ligt Sandstone Quarry Overlook, waar mijnwerkers vroeger zandsteen oogstten!
De Calico Basin Trail is een vrij gemakkelijke 1,5 mijl heen en terug route die je een aantal nieuwe hoeken van de Calico Hills laat zien, maar het dient meestal als een verbindingsroute naar andere langere paden.
Een pauze nodig van de hitte? De Ice Box Canyon Trail ligt verderop. Na een wandeling van 15 minuten door de woestijn, worden we geflankeerd door rotswanden die een heel nieuw bioom creëren.
Deze plek is vooral populair onder vogelaars, aangezien veel van de meer dan 100 vogelsoorten in Red Rock vanuit dit open, onbelemmerde uitzicht te zien zijn.
Verderop is High Point Overlook, het hoogste punt dat we tijdens onze tour zullen zien op 1.500 meter boven zeeniveau!
Red Rock Canyon Overlook ligt vlak voor ons. Dit uitkijkpunt biedt geweldige panoramische uitzichten, dus houd je camera bij de hand!
Als je Red Rock Canyon bezoekt tijdens de nattere maanden april-december, kom je misschien in de verleiding om je in Lost Creek Canyon te wagen!

That they need to purchase a separate ticket through a government website. This should be made abundantly clear. I thought it included the fee.
Daniel, I do mention the separate entrance fee in multiple places—both before and after purchase—so travelers don’t face issues on the day of their visit. You may have missed that part. Don’t worry, my tour is valid for a year after booking. If you’ve left the location, I can help with the refund process or offer a replacement tour—just let me know what you need. The guided tour worked very well. It was nice to drive and learn some geographical and historical facts about each of sightseeing stops. The program worked very well if you follow instructions how to prepare ahead and download the program prior to this guided tour drive. $15.00 very well spent

The tour started out great,but once we stopped to walk around a little, it would not sync to our area. It only would restart from the beginning. We gave up!

When the app reopens, it starts at the introduction, but you can easily skip it by going to the map and continuing from your location.
