In deze stad aan het einde van de berg resoneert de oude bonanza nog steeds, toen verschillende landgoederen werden gebouwd die de graaf van Regla tot de rijkste man van zijn tijd maakten. Nu maken ze deel uit van een podium met bossen en ravijnen, waar stenen prisma's en watervallen en dammen je adem stelen.
Een van de eerste dingen die we gaan bezoeken zijn de Basaltische prisma's, duizenden jaren geleden gevormd, een reeks rotsen die schitteren met zonlicht. De geometrische structuur van ongeveer veertig meter hoog is indrukwekkend. In dit geologische fenomeen vormen de wateren van de San Antonio Dam vier watervallen die gelukkig spelen op de prisma's.
Veel verhalen komen samen in deze magische stad van mijn erfenis: de herenhuizen en Engelse luchtconstructies worden gecombineerd met de geur van nat gras en de frisse geur van bloemen; terwijl de kou en mist in de middag aankomen, de schoorstenen van de oude mijnen en de hoge dennen van het pantheon bedekkend, kunt u genieten van het heerlijke aroma van pasta's en pulque brood gekookt in hun ovens en beschutting met de warmte van de mensen, u kan ook je vaardigheden als chef proberen, maak je eigen pasta in het Pasta Museum.

Fantastic experience. Our guide, Ulises, was outstanding. Ulises passionate information about the sites we explored along with the many experiences made for a memorable day.
In Real del Monte, the guide pointed out some old mining tunnels and told us a bit about the workers who lived there years ago. The town has a quiet charm that makes you slow down. Later, the Basaltic Prisms were more impressive than I imagined,the rocks form perfect geometric shapes. I took so many photos because every corner had a different texture and color.
The guide was friendly and told us short stories about the places, nothing too long. The town felt welcoming, and I enjoyed the old buildings and small shops. The Basaltic Prisms looked even better than photos. I liked that we had enough time to take pictures and enjoy the nature around us.
Huasca de Ocampo (the very first declared Magic Town), the Prismas Basálticos & Real Del Monte are very beautiful places worth visiting. It was my second time visiting and the first for my husband: I wanted to go back to see it again. I personally prefer the Basaltic Prisms to the Giant Causeway… Our guide, Ulises from Travis Adventures, was very attentive, allowing us to take our own pace and explaining everything with great patience and dedication. He was great company. 200% recommended! He introduced us to the best places to eat on this tour: barbacoa in Huasca; quesadillas and our favorite drinks “cantaritos” at the Peña del Aire; and our own made Pastes at the Museo del Paste in Real Del Monte (Ulises managed this experience for us).

Great tour! Our guide Mr Ulises Najera was very knowledgeable and accommodating. A comfortable trip with an added bonus of a beautiful canyon. We also made our own pastes!

We had the most amazing time- this trip was even better than described. Ulises was fun and accommodating, as well as knowledgeable. We stopped in Huasca which looked like it was straight out of a hallmark movie. Then we went to the basaltic prisms which were even better than in the photos. After that we went to the canyon and even got to zip line across part of it. On Ulises suggestion we got quesadillas made by the local vendors and they were amazing, I’ll be dreaming of them for years. After that we stopped in Real de Monte which was also beautiful and we tried some Pastes. This is a don’t miss if you’ve got more than a few days in CDMX.

Best tour we had in Mexico ! Private driver/guide, professional explanation on anything in Mexico -from land scraping , politics, social and overall knowledge and better understanding of Mexico. Amazing contribution to our tour and we were lucky to spend time on Sunday ! The outdoor small country side towns are buzzing with locals, bands and excellent atmosphere.
