Beschrijving
De regenboogberg van Peru, ook bekend als Winicunca. Tijdens deze trektocht ziet u schilderachtige dorpjes, prachtige huizen in adobe-stijl, kuddes lama's en alpaca's en heeft u een prachtig uitzicht op de Ausangate-berg (6.385 m), de hoogste berg in de regio Cusco.

We ontbijten in een restaurant en hier begint de tocht. We gingen heuvelopwaarts langs een kabbelend bergstroompje en kuddes alpaca de volgende vallei in. Hier kunt u, als het weer het toelaat, uw eerste glimp van ons doelwit opvangen. De trektocht naar de berg duurt vanaf hier ongeveer 2 uur, afhankelijk van je conditie. Bovenop zullen we een welverdiende pauze nemen en wat snacks nuttigen. Dit is ook uw kans om op adem te komen en te genieten van het adembenemende uitzicht. Hier zul je zo blij zijn dat je je camera hebt meegenomen! Hierna beginnen we aan de trektocht terug naar de trailhead (ongeveer 2 uur). Dit deel van de trektocht zul je veel gemakkelijker vinden. Terug in de berggemeenschap lunch je in ons restaurant in Anchipata en neem je wat meer tijd om te ontspannen. De chauffeur en ons privévoertuig wachten om je terug te brengen naar Cusco (3 uur) voor een drop-off op Plaza Regocijo, aankomst rond 17.00 uur

Ophaallocaties en -tijden
Sommige hotels hebben niet voldoende grote straten om te kunnen parkeren. Als dat het geval is voor uw hotel, laat het ons dan weten om het ophaalpunt te wijzigen. Je wordt om 04.30 uur opgehaald voor een reis van 3 uur per privéauto of minibus naar het begin van het parcours bij Anchipata

I cannot recommend KPC highly enough! I arrived in Urubamba hoping to visit Rainbow Mountain, but had not booked a tour in advance. Franklin and his team were incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and even arranged door-to-door transit from my hotel, despite the fact that I was staying outside Cusco. I was anxious about the altitude and being prepared for weather, but the company made sure everyone in our group was outfitted with the proper attire and they were ready to respond in case of altitude sickness. I felt like I was in such good hands. Highly recommend!
The tour was good, not great. Our tour guide was super nice. I am sorry I don't recall her name, but we were called the "Champions." We opted for the horse/donkey/mule ride. It would have been a nice ride, but the guy kept running, and so the horse/donkey/mule kept running. I ended up falling in the mud (it was funny though lol) because the saddle was loose. I don't know why he was mad. LOL Two of my friends was sick from the bumpy and windy road and our tour guide took good care of them! PLEASE DON'T UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF HIGH ALTITUDE SICKNEED, even if you are an avid hiker. I highly recommend this tour.
