De 7 Colors Mountain-tour begint bij de deur van uw hotel in het centrum van Cusco (historisch centrum) en eindigt in het centrum van Cusco, Plaza Regocio of Plaza San Francisco. Tussen 04:00 en 04:30 uur komen we langs de deuren van uw hotels. Als u zich in een afgelegen gebied of Airbnb bevindt, regelen we een ontmoetingspunt om Cusco om 05:00 uur te verlaten. Reis van Cusco naar Cusipata: We zullen een reis van bijna 2 uur maken van Cusco naar Cusipata, hier zullen we een heerlijk Andes-ontbijt hebben. Het is belangrijk om te onthouden dat we ons in een gemeenschap ver weg van Cusco zullen bevinden en dat we niet het comfort van een stadsrestaurant zullen hebben.
We beginnen aan een bijna 2 uur durende reis van Cusco naar Cusipata en genieten bij aankomst van een stevig Andes-ontbijt. Houd er rekening mee dat we ons in een afgelegen gemeenschap bevinden, verstoken van stedelijke eetgelegenheden. Na nog een uur reizen bereiken we de parkeerplaats van Chillihuani. De beklimming naar Rainbow Mountain duurt ongeveer 1 uur en 30 minuten en leidt ons naar de uitlopers van Red Valley, de toegangspoort tot de prachtige 7-kleurenberg. Als je over een pad wandelt, zal het landschap geleidelijk veranderen in levendige bergen en kabbelende beekjes, die leven in de vallei blazen. Mocht u de trekking uitdagend vinden, dan zijn er paardenverhuur van dorpsbewoners beschikbaar voor ongeveer 70 soles. Als we een hoogte van 5200 meter bereiken, aanschouwen we de majestueuze 7 Colors Mountain, die tijdloze momenten vastlegt te midden van zijn kleurrijke landschappen. Onze gids biedt inzichten over de berg en begeleiding voor diegenen die geïnteresseerd zijn in een bezoek aan Red Valley (optioneel) voordat we terugkeren naar de parkeerplaats.
We keren terug naar Cusipata, waar we zullen genieten van een Andes-lunch. 17:00 uur ca. We keren terug naar de stad Cusco. We laten je achter op de Plaza Regocijo of San Francisco en eindigen onze 7 Colors Mountain-tour.

The logistics of the visit are very well prepared, from the hotel pickup with a very comfortable Van, the guide very attentive, the site is very nice, the walk to the tip of the mountain where Vinicunca is located (Mountain of 7 colors) is very demanding, it is recommended not to do it immediately arrive in Cusco, they must wait at least 2 days to be used to the height and try not to drink liquor or eat heavy meals the night before, the hike is 3.5 km climb that are very demanding, the weather is very cold and with a lot of wind, they must be very warm and wear glasses and gloves, also wear shoes to not slip and be able to step on pools and stones, when reaching the top, the view is spectacular, maybe take time the line for photography but worth it, the descent is just as difficult as exhaustion is felt on return, I recommend to bring energy bars and water
I was worried about making this trail because of the altitude, but I was surprised! I was able to finish without feeling bad! The guide guidelines were essential and the help with the flowering water too! Rs Being acclimatized is really essential! I felt a lot of difference when I did the 7 lagoons, where I was only 2 days away in Cusco, when I did this, which I did after 5 days in the city. Breakfast and lunch very good too! We received a blanket from the agency in the van to cover ourselves as soon as the tour began, because it was quite cold, thanks for the care! I loved and super recommend.
The plan we acquired included climbing a stretch by motorcycle cart, then climbing the mountain on foot, which involves great physical effort..... But the final view, the mountain, the wasteland and in general the whole landscape is worth it. It's a wonderful place.
The whole course is an endless beauty! I went to the horse the first half hour for 70 soles and it was very worth it, but attention: give coke gum inside, take breaks if necessary, because if you don't have physical preparation, tired yes. The effort on the climb is worth it. I recommend 100% doing the climbing and descending on horseback to not get so fatigued in the end. On the other hand, 100% warm up from the cold in such height and patience to wait for the clouds to clear.

We were visiting rainbow mountain on the last day of our trip to Peru Our guide for the day was Jonathan. The hike to it was challenging for us as an couple cause of the altitude and we were tired as we were close to the end of our trip. But our guide really encouraged, motivated us and kept pushing us that we can make it. He gave us constant tips and we were glad that we were able to complete the hike and take back beautiful memories. Highly recommend and thank you.
