We bezoeken deze belangrijke stad die zo nauw verbonden is met de Camino de Santiago (Portugese weg) en met de geschiedenis van de komst van de apostel Santiago in Galicië. Hier bezoeken we met de gids de kerk van Santiago, waar de "pedrón" staat, en hebben we tijd om door de Alameda te wandelen en een kopje koffie te drinken.
Combarro
We bezochten dit prachtige voorbeeld van populaire architectuur. We lopen door de granieten steegjes tussen graanschuren en stenen kruisen. Er is een optie om mosselen uit Combarro . te proberen
Combarro
Optioneel - Mosselboot In de jachthaven van Combarro nemen we de boot waarmee we de monding van Pontevedra zullen oversteken; het zien van de mosselkwekerijen, de steden Combarro en Marín vanaf de zee en het eiland Tambo. Aan boord hebben we een proeverij van mosselen en lokale wijn.
Het eiland A Toxa was eind negentiende eeuw het eerste vakantieoord in Europa, ook vanwege de zepen die op het eiland werden gemaakt. Op het eiland zien we het historische "Gran Hotel LaToja", de oude zeepfabriek en de merkwaardige "Capilla de las Conchas" (volledig bedekt met sint-jakobsschelpen.
Cambados
Eenmaal in Cambados zien we het centrale plein van de stad met zijn indrukwekkende Pazo (Fefiñáns). In deze stad heb je vrije tijd om lokale producten te proeven in een van de vele restaurants.
Illa de Arousa
We bereiken het eiland door een van de langste bruggen over de zee van Europa over te steken. Eenmaal daar kun je kiezen tussen een wandeling door het natuurpark met onze gids, een drankje aan zee of een duik nemen in een van de fantastische stranden van het eiland!

There were too many stops...
There were too many stops on the tour with too little time in places. The mussel tour was excellent though the commentary should have also been in English. The last stop in particular was too short.

A very successful excursion that we can warmly recommend
A fantastic bus tour and one of the highlights of the trip. Everything worked very well and the setup was both nice and well organized. The best part was the mussel boat, where we got to eat lots of good mussels and drink cold, good wine in a lovely environment. It certainly made the experience extra memorable. A very successful excursion that we can highly recommend.

What delicious mussels!
I loved the tour, the landscapes are beautiful despite the rain in the morning. Even so, I enjoyed it a lot, ahh, and the mussels were delicious!!! I would repeat the tour 20 times just to eat those mussels.

Our tour guide, Daniel,...
Our tour guide, Daniel, was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, he did not accompany us on the boat portion of the tour. All of the information that was given on the boat tour was given in Spanish, so those of us who spoke no Spanish did not get any of the information that was given to the tour participants who did speak Spanish. That was the only disappointment of the tour.

Relaxing, interesting excursion!
Wonderful, well rounded day. Tour was in Spanish, but Pedro, the wonderful guide, did a great job including the 3 English speakers.

We have done with this agency the tour to the rias baixas and it has been a very good experience. The places you visit are very well chosen and have given us a lot of information. I recommend taking it with the mussel boat, we have had an amazing time!!
