Quito, de hoofdstad van Ecuador, is na La Paz, Bolivia, de op één na hoogste hoofdstad ter wereld. Het historische centrum is een van de mooiste en best bewaarde ter wereld; uitgeroepen tot werelderfgoed door de UNESCO, wordt het beschouwd als het Godsgezicht van Latijns-Amerika. Tijdens deze Quito Tour krijg je de kans om de stad vanuit veel verschillende gezichtspunten te leren kennen; bewonder de stad van bovenaf en bezoek de mooiste uitzichtpunten; leer over zijn geschiedenis, cultuur en tradities door zijn indrukwekkende koloniale kerken en kleurrijke straten; bezoek het midden van de wereld en krijg de kans om op de echte evenaar te staan; en maak je ervaring vanaf de hoogte af met een ritje in de Quito-kabelbaan.

Vroeg in de ochtend beginnen we onze stadstour bij het Panecillo-uitkijkpunt om de wonderen van Quito van bovenaf te bewonderen, daarna zullen we ongeveer twee uur wandelen om de hoogtepunten van de oude stad te bezoeken, zoals: de San Francisco-kerk, de Compañia de Jesús-kerk en de Sagrario-kerk. op "Calle de la Siete Cruces" of Garcia Moreno Street. Daarna bezoeken we de lobby van het presidentieel paleis op het belangrijkste plein van Quito. Om ons bezoek in het centrum af te sluiten, bezoeken we de eerste gotische kerk van Ecuador "Basílica del Voto Nacional", die wordt beschouwd als de hoogste in de stad. Dit is weer een prachtig uitzichtpunt om "The Avenue of the Volcanoes" te observeren.
We rijden naar het Equator Line Museum, waar je de kans krijgt om een gedenkwaardige foto te maken met één voet op elk halfrond. En ontdek ook veel meer over de geschiedenis en cultuur van Ecuador.
Ten slotte bezoeken we de kabelbaan of Teleferico, een reis naar de voet van de Rucu Pichincha-vulkaan, andere van de must-see uitzichtpunten van de stad Quito. UPDATE: Op dit moment is de kabelbaan gesloten vanwege technische problemen en is er geen heropeningsdatum. Het kan dus voorkomen dat het niet mogelijk is om deze te bezoeken.

This tour way amazing! The views and city were so beautiful. I loved the churches and the walk through the historic part of Quito. Our guide Erick was fantastic! So kind, friendly and extremely knowledgeable! Would definitely recommend anyone who wants to see and learn about Quito and Ecuador to do this trip!

We spent three days with Alejandro while in Quito. Each day of tours was excellent. We visited the Old Town of Quito with a visit to the Equator, the Mindo Cloud Forest and the Otavalo Market. Each day Alejandro picked us up on time from our hotel and spent the full day with us sharing his knowledge and experiences within Ecuador. He is extremely knowledgeable about the history, the culture and the different regions. Our walk through the Cloud Forest demonstrated his knowledge around the plants and wildlife of the area. In Quito we received a wonderful history lesson and in Otavalo we experienced and learned about the culture of the area. Alejandro was conscientious about COVID protocols making us feel very safe the entire time we were with him. We wore masks the entire time, hands were sanitized regularly and our shoes were even sprayed prior to entering the vehicle. He also helped us to understand how to stay safe in Quito when we weren't with him. From the initial contact through the payment and even a follow up call prior to our arrival, the process was professional and comprehensive. Having a private tour allowed us flexibility and we were able to adjust things according to our interests. No request was a problem and this made for 3 very enjoyable days. GUIDEcuador is highly recommended if you are planning a visit to Ecuador.

In the morning a very inspired tour full of history along the vias de quito. The guide showed us not only the tourist sites but also the not very common ones. In the afternoon it took us to the city halfway around the world but not only to the supposed „fake“ but also to the most precise point. We could enjoy a delicious lunch accompanied by folk music „the clowns“. He always explained everything very precise and detailed and knew how to maintain our interest and curiosity throughout the day.
