Ik ben Guillaume, een 32-jarige Fransman die het geweldig vindt om mensen de geschiedenis en het dagelijkse leven van Parijs te laten zien als hobby! Ik ben gepassioneerd door de geschiedenis van Frankrijk en Parijs. Tijdens deze privéwandeling (alleen jij) laat ik je het Quartier Latin zien, de wijk waar ik al meer dan 10 jaar woon, tussen het Pantheon, de Notre Dame en de Jardin du Luxembourg, in het hart van Parijs. Je ontdekt de geschiedenis van deze wijk en zijn beroemde monumenten. Ik deel veel anekdotes met je over het leven in deze wijk. Ik geef je de beste adressen in de omgeving en de plekken waar Parijzenaars van houden. De privétour zal evolueren volgens jouw wensen en ik doe ook aanbevelingen op basis van jouw interesses. Tijdens deze aanpasbare wandeling deel ik graag al hun tips en trucs om je te helpen het meeste uit je verblijf te halen.

Voor het Panthéon leg ik de fascinerende geschiedenis van dit monument en zijn bijzondere plaats in de wijk en in Parijs uit.
Ik zal de wijk laten zien waar ik woon, de Parijse levensstijl en de favoriete plekken van de lokale bevolking
De Arènes de Lutèce behoren tot de belangrijkste overblijfselen uit de Romeinse Oudheid in Parijs (in de oudheid bekend als Lutetia), samen met de Thermes de Cluny. Dit theater werd gebouwd in de 1e eeuw na Christus en bood ooit plaats aan 15.000 mensen. Het werd ook gebruikt als amfitheater om gladiatorengevechten te tonen.
Ik zal je rondleiden op dit kleine eiland waar ik van hou, een echt dorp in het hart van Parijs.
Voor de Notre Dame vertel ik je het verhaal van deze kathedraal en waarom deze zo belangrijk is voor de geschiedenis van Frankrijk en Parijs.

I rely heavily on reviews to plan my trip so I wanted to return the favor for other would-be travelers. We are so glad that we jumped on this gem of a private walking tour around the Latin area in Paris with Guillaume the very first day we arrived. There is nothing better than having a local show you the best attractions in the area. Not only did Guillaume contact us well prior on What's App to confirm the meeting point but he was kind enough to wait for us when we were late due to special event Olympic traffic. He showed us all the key attractions from the Pantheon to Notre Dame and other treasures in the neighborhood as we strolled through the streets exploring several special places not included in other tours...the final spot was the lovely Luxemburg Gardens which helped me check that off our "must see" list. Guillaume's english is fine and he answered a ton of our questions plus offered up memorable stories and information that even my teenage son enjoyed. We appreciated his knowledge of the buildings, history, as well as, current information which gave us more insight on Paris than some of the other tours we took. I highly recommend starting with this tour/tour guide as he can also offer great restaurants and advice that will make your trip even better. PS - He walked us right up to a couple of places that are even featured in the "Emily in Paris" netflix series.... loved meeting Guillaume and loved the tour he has put together!!

Great visit with Guillaume! He explained the history of the neighborhood and showed us the good addresses of the 5th arrondissement. We also learned a lot about the history of France through the visit. And the historical anecdotes were very interesting to our son:)
