Als je ooit je eigen chocolade hebt willen maken of alle prachtige fijne kneepjes en processen hebt willen leren die komen kijken bij het maken van 's werelds favoriete traktatie, is dit de klas voor jou! In 2 uur reis je door de tijd : van de geschiedenis van de boom, tot de mythen, tot de zeer reële en belangrijke rol die cacao en chocolade speelden in de culturen van Meso-Amerika. En natuurlijk ga je ook chocolade maken. Van het proberen van het rauwe fruit (indien beschikbaar), tot het roosteren, malen en scheiden van de schaal van de nibs, je werkt net als een professional die award winnende chocolade maakt. Je leert enkele van de geweldige medicinale toepassingen van chocolade voordat je je eigen chocolade ‘medicijn’ maakt om mee naar huis te nemen. Tot slot tempereer je vers gegoten gesmolten chocolade en maak je je eigen reep om in te pakken en later van te genieten. Er zijn chocolade tours over de hele wereld, maar dit is een echte hands on ervaring - je krijgt chocolade op je! Een leuke en heerlijke les!

Owner/teacher has incredible knowledge of the cacao history in Puerto Viejo. The class was hands on bringing us through the cacao pod process to making our own chocolate bars. I highly recommend this class! Such fun!
