Prosecco Origins neemt je mee terug in de tijd naar de XIV eeuw om de geschiedenis van 's werelds favoriete mousserende wijn te ontdekken, het verkennen van de stukken land waar het allemaal begon. Verscholen in een klein hoekje van Noordoost-Italië en prachtig gelegen in een unieke omgeving met uitzicht op de golf van Triëst, vind je de oude dorpen van Contovello en Prosecco (natuurlijk), waar je de kans krijgt om alles te leren over de eerste stappen van Prosecco-wijn wandelen door de smalle straatjes van het oude dorp en op en neer de groene terrasvormige wijngaarden genieten van een onovertroffen uitzicht op de Adriatische Zee, terwijl het proeven van traditioneel geproduceerde mousserende wijnen en regionale lekkernijen uit de nabijgelegen boerderijen. Van wijnliefhebbers tot nieuwsgierige reizigers, Prosecco Origins is de perfecte ervaring voor een vakantie ondergedompeld in een unieke omgeving, proeverij van lokaal geproduceerde wijnen en zelfgemaakte lekkernijen tijdens het verkennen van de wortels van een wereldwijde favoriet. Katrin was an excellent host & owner of the Boutique Organic Winery. She does all of the work in the winery & loves the local wine making business. She told us about of the local history as she walked us through the small neighborhood of Contovello where the winery is located. We then entered her winery where she had set up a lovely table in her vineyard for appetizers & wine tasting. A great experience!
The tour was a wonderful walk through the region’s history. You can tell she really cares about her vineyard and community. Highly recommended for everyone. One thing of note. Yes the start point for the tour is a picnic table in a park. It is easy to locate.
So much fun. Katrin could not have been more warm and welcoming. Her love of wine and food was evident. And we learned so much about the history of region and makes its wines so special. The location for the wine tasting was heavenly and the food was paired to perfection. 100/10 do not miss this experience.
Wonderful host (Katrin) led us on a walking tour through the village, giving knowledge about the region and wine making. She allowed for plenty of photos opportunities. Then a fabulous feast on fresh baked bread, meat and cheese which were delicious. A sample of wines with explanation before viewing the wine making facilities. Well worth the money, fabulous experience.
It is a great wine and food tasting tour by an enthusiastic guide. Highly recommended. Unique small vinery experience.
A wonderful experience, although it rained most of the time unfortunately. The explanations about the places and the wine were very interesting.
We booked this after seeing on TravelMan. We were so pleased we took the detour from our Croatian Trip. Fabulous tour of the wee village and personal winery. We learnt a bit about Prosecco and Prosecco !!

Introduction to the business of Prosecco production by a passionate, hereditary wine-maker. A visit to dream of during cold winter nights.
It's hard not to wax too lyrical about this experience, but sipping Katrin's prosecco in her vineyard immediately above the Miramare ecological garden and overlooking the Gulf of Trieste has to be one of the world's great winetasting moments. And then there was the amazing platter of local meats and cheeses.... Katrin's generosity knows no bounds.
