Onze begeleide wandeltocht door koloniale straten, stoppen bij een lokale theewinkel om de theecultuur van Myanmar te ervaren en authentiek straatvoedsel te proeven. Bezoek iconische bezienswaardigheden zoals de Liggende Boeddha en Shwedagon Pagoda, blader door Bogyoke Market en maak een ritje met de beroemde Yangon Circular Train. Een perfecte mix van bezienswaardigheden, het lokale leven en heerlijke hapjes — allemaal met een professionele Engelssprekende gids.

Onze lokale gids haalt u rond 8:30 uur op bij uw hotel en rijdt naar de Sule-pagode in de buurt van Mahar Bandula Park, waar we onze wandeltocht beginnen. De tour kan ongeveer 2 uur duren. Tijdens de tour zitten we bij de lokale theewinkel om de lokale theewinkelcultuur in Myanmar te begrijpen. De theewinkelcultuur speelt nog steeds een belangrijke rol in het dagelijks leven van de Myanmarezen. Bij de theewinkel kun je Birmese unieke traditionele gerechten proberen, zoals Mote Hinin Khar, rijstnoedelsoep of Mote Ti Thote, rijstnoedelsalade met een kopje zoete thee. Nadat we praktische ervaring hebben met het proberen van Birmaans eten en de lokale cultuur, gaan we verder met onze wandeltocht naar koloniale gebouwen. Tijdens de tour bieden we u meer traditionele Birmaanse snacks zoals Bee Mote (letterlijk vertaald - wielcake), sesambrosheid, pindabrosheid, gestoomde cassave en enz... De ochtendwandeling is een combinatie van eten, cultuur en een korte geschiedenis van het koloniale tijdperk van Yangon.
Volgende bezoek aan Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda om kolossale liggende Boeddha te zien.

Na de lunch gaan we verder naar de Bo Gyoke markt. Na de markt nemen we cirkelvormig van het markttreinstation, dat net achter op de markt ligt, naar het treinstation Kyee Myint Daing. De trein kan om 3:30 uur op het station aankomen en het kan ongeveer 20 minuten duren om de hop off-plek te bereiken.
In de late namiddag bezoek aan de prachtige Shwedagon Pagoda, die meer dan 2.600 jaar geleden zijn gebouwd. De hele dag duurt ongeveer 7 tot 8 uur en u wordt aangeraden een lange broek te dragen. Na de tour zal uw chauffeur u veilig terugbrengen naar uw hotel.

We booked a full-day private Yangon tour, and it exceeded our expectations. If you have only one day in Yangon and want to understand both the city’s history and its culture, this tour is an excellent choice. Our guide Zin Bo Bo was knowledgeable, had a good command of English, and shared not only historical facts but also thoughtful insights into everyday life in Myanmar. We chose to stop for lunch at Feel Restaurant. It was a great way to experience local cuisine. Great introduction to the main sites and history of Yangon starting with a passionate introduction to the colonial buildings by my guide, Yan. He had a genuine love for the period and shared the history of many buildings you would probably just walk by. Of course, we saw some classic sites including Karaweik Palace, Sule Pagoda and, one of the highlights of Yangon, Shwedagon Pagoda. Yan was an excellent guide. Great stories, good English and a real care to ensure his customers get to have a great experience of Yangon.

Superb tour of Yangoon. Mr. Yan is proud and knowledgeable of his country. We saw all aspects of Myanmar culture and history. We appreciated when he asked what food we wanted to eat. This was first visit to Myanmar and Yen was my tourist guide for the day to show me the sites of Yangon and to tell me about its fascinating history. It was a great tour covering all of the major sites by car and walking. Yen made it exceptional. He was knowledgeable and professional and his enthusiasm for his country and this city was infectious. Both the tour and Yen, as guide, are highly recommended. Without doubt the Shwedagon Pagoda is one of the most awe-inspiring places I have ever visited. The circular train was a lot of fun - doesn’t always run, pick a day when it does!

Myu is very knowledgable and good english. He explained everything and answer all my questions. The trip is excellent, we went to most of the important sites in Yangoon. Even though we didn't take train because the train is no more run circular. We took the car and it is great!

I found this tour in tripadvisor and start contact them on Whatsapp. The response is quick and nice. Our guide, Mu, pick us at the airport. His knowledge about places are excellent. His English is easy to understand. The tour is customized to our need. We get to go inside more pagodas. All pagodas are unique and elegant. The tour upgrade us to Alphard, which is so comfortable. This tour is great if you are thinking about seeing Yangon in one day. I think I will be back to go to other places with them. Myanmar is beautiful with lots of historic places. PS. Mu bring us to the famous market and let us walk around by ourself. He never try to sell us anything.

We had a wonderful day with Zin Bo Bo. He was extremely knowledgeable & gave us a great sense of the culture during our conversations. He was also very considerate, organising a wheel chair for my husband at the temples. The local food at lunch was delicious. The highlight was of course the magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda.
