Het hebben van een privégids is de beste manier om de geheimen van de belangrijkste monumenten van Sevilla in detail te kennen: de kathedraal en het Alcazar. Gedurende ongeveer 3 uur willen we je de grootste gotische kathedraal ter wereld laten zien, de kathedraal van Sevilla, waar personages die de geschiedenis van de mensheid hebben veranderd, zoals Christopher Columbus, begraven liggen. Het beklimmen van de bijna 100 meter van La Giralda, de toren van de kathedraal en de oude Arabische minaret is een ervaring die je tijdens deze tour niet mag missen. Na de kathedraal zal het Alcazar van Sevilla u verliefd maken op deze stad: de patio's, kamers, tuinen... een mengeling van twee culturen, christelijke en islamitische, die in het Alcazar hand in hand gaan. Optioneel kun je een wandeling door de wijk Santa Cruz toevoegen: de oude Joodse wijk van Sevilla, vandaag kun je de straattraditie en Andalusische cultuur inademen terwijl je door de smalle en labyrintische straatjes loopt.

Gebouwd over een oude moskee waarvan er nog steeds overblijfselen zijn, wordt de kathedraal van Sevilla beschouwd als de grootste gotische kathedraal ter wereld en een van de meest spectaculaire in Europa. Hier vinden we het graf van Christoffel Columbus, altijd omgeven door controverse.
Met zijn bijna 100 meter hoogte is de Giralda van Sevilla ongetwijfeld een van de symbolen van deze monumentale stad. Voormalige minaret van de moskee van de stad, in christelijke tijden hergebruikt als toren van de kathedraal. Geniet van het uitzicht vanaf wat tot voor kort het hoogste punt van de stad was.
Het Alcazar van Sevilla, dat begon met de bouw in de islamitische tijd, is een mix van stijlen die je niet onverschillig zullen laten. De kamers, patio's en tuinen zijn de pracht waardig die deze stad in het verleden heeft geleefd. Tegenwoordig is het nog steeds de residentie van de Spaanse monarchie tijdens hun reizen naar Sevilla.

Our guide was very knowledgeable about the history of Seville and the Alcazar in particular. She also took us to a couple of places off the tourist track. We also appreciated her keeping us under shelter and shade as much as possible given the heat.

We had a wonderful tour of Seville with Christina. She did an excellent job showing us the Seville Cathedral, the Royal Palace of Seville, and the Jewish Quarter. Christina was very knowledgeable, explained the history clearly, and made everything interesting and easy to understand for our whole family. She was patient, friendly, and kept everyone engaged throughout the tour. The only negative was that the microphone/audio equipment was poor and really needs to be updated, since it was difficult to hear clearly at times. Aside from that, the tour was excellent. We learned so much and truly enjoyed the experience. Highly recommend Christina to anyone visiting Seville!
