De Bol binnen een Bol" van Arnaldo Pomodoro in de Vaticaanse Musea is een opvallend sculpturaal meesterwerk dat de Cortile della Pigna siert. Dit boeiende kunstwerk heeft een grote bronzen bol met een gestructureerd, gebroken oppervlak, waardoor een kleinere bol binnenin zichtbaar wordt. Het samenspel van licht en schaduw op de ingewikkelde patronen draagt bij aan zijn betoverende allure. De sculptuur van Pomodoro in de Vaticaanse Musea symboliseert thema's van complexiteit en innerlijke diepte en is een bewijs van de convergentie van kunst, spiritualiteit en diepgaande betekenis in het hart van een van 's werelds meest gerenommeerde culturele instellingen.
De Sixtijnse Kapel dankt zijn naam aan Paus Sixtus IV della Rovere (pontif van 1471 tot 1484) die de oude Cappella Magna liet restaureren tussen 1477 en 1480. Het is bekend over de hele wereld, zowel voor de plaats waar het conclaaf en andere officiële ceremonies van de paus worden gehouden (in het verleden ook enkele pauselijke kroningen), en voor het worden versierd met een van de meest beroemde en gevierde kunstwerken van de artistieke beschaving de fresco's van Michelangelo.
De grootste basiliek ter wereld herbergt ook wereldwijde meesterwerken zoals de beroemde Pietà van Michelangelo! Het huisvest zelfs een ondergrondse crypte voor pausen, waarvan kan worden bezocht (niet beschikbaar op woensdagochtend vanwege het pauselijke publiek) De Basiliek heeft een grote invloed van Michelangelo en je kunt zijn kunstwerken overal zien. De basiliek werd oorspronkelijk gebouwd boven het graf van de Prins der Apostelen, waar de paus elke kerst- of paastijd op bezoek komt.

Voor de EARLY BIRD LUXURY OPTIE zijn ophalen, afleveren en ontmoeten met de Gids bij de accommodatie inbegrepen in de tourkosten. Gasten moeten om 7: 15 uur in de lobby zijn, klaar voor de transfer. Voor de VROEGE VOGEL COMFORT OPTIE pick-up en meet and greet met de Gids bij de accommodatie zijn inbegrepen in de tour kosten. Gasten moeten om 7:45 uur in de lobby klaarstaan voor de transfer. Voor de VROEGE OCHTEND BASIC OPTIE transfers zijn NIET INBEGREPEN. Gasten ontmoeten hun Gids om 08:00 uur direct ter plaatse, op het aangewezen ontmoetingspunt. HET AGENTSCHAP NEEMT CONTACT MET U OP VOOR ELKE WIJZIGING.

Booking the private Vatican & St. Peter's Basilica Early Bird Tour with Viator was a breeze from start to finish. We were a group of 5, including 2 teenagers. Azzurra is lovely. Knowledgable. Personable. This review doesn't reflect on her personally in any way. I booked with city eyes. To spend $ 700 and think this was in any way "private" or "before the crowds" is in no way accurate. We stood in line in the sun just like everyone else. This is City Eyes verbiage "Imagine stepping into the hallowed halls of the Vatican Museums when they are still uncrowded, feeling the profound spirituality before the daily crowds arrive. This is the heart of our Vatican Museums Early Morning Private Tour, a journey designed for those who seek a deeper connection with art and history.". This is so far from the truth as to be fraudulent. I'll show you in the pictures. So sorry Azurra, but this was a ripoff.

That said, we would like to respectfully clarify a few important points. The experience is private because it includes a dedicated private guide for your party. It is also a “before the crowds” experience because your tour entered at the very first entrance time of the day, when the Vatican Museums open and before any earlier visitors are already inside. Even at the first entrance of the day, the Vatican Museums may admit many visitors, especially in high season. The number of tickets released for each time slot is decided directly by the Vatican Museums, and no tour operator has control over that. However, entering later would mean entering after all previous time slots are already inside as well, which makes the Museums much more crowded than at the first entrance. Regarding the line, this was the security line for visitors with reservations and tickets. Security checks cannot be skipped for obvious reasons. The line for visitors without tickets is a completely different line and, during very high season, can take 3 to 4 hours. That is not the line you waited in. The price of the experience reflects several elements: a private licensed guide with 20 years of experience, skip-the-line Vatican Museums tickets, mandatory headsets, fast entrance to St. Peter’s Basilica through the Sistine Chapel, the St. Peter’s Basilica ticket, and, in your case, private hotel pickup with a Mercedes van. It also reflects the work of our office team, who organize guides, tickets, logistics, custom requests, and assistance before and during each experience. For these reasons, we are sorry to read the tour described as a “ripoff.” CityEyes has been offering private Vatican tours for more than 20 years, with thousands of 5-star reviews from guests who have appreciated the quality, organization, and value of these experiences. The price paid is also in line with similar private Vatican experiences of this level. We are sorry that your expectations were different from the reality of visiting the Vatican Museums in high season.
