Geniet van een wandeling langs de rivier bij zonsopgang en zonsondergang met Aarti-ceremonie in de avond. Varanasi heeft bijna 100 ghats, die aan de rivier zijn en die leiden naar de oevers van de rivier de Ganges. Een wandeling langs de ghats van Varanasi is een fascinerende ervaring.
Het standbeeld van de Moeder India bestaat uit het marmer en ziet eruit als een model dat het hele India symboliseert, staat voor de bergen, vlaktes en oceanen van India. De Bharat Mata-tempel heeft geen traditioneel beeld van Goden of Godin, maar het heeft een echte kaart van India.
De Birla-tempel bevindt zich op de BHU-campus in Varanasi en staat bekend als de Birla-tempel omdat deze is gebouwd door de Birla Group of Industries. De tempel werd gesticht door de Raja Birla van de Birla-familie van grote industriëlen. Het was gepland door de Pt. Madan Mohan Malaviya (de oprichter van de Banaras Hindu University) als onderdeel van de BHU-campus. Tempel staat open voor alle mensen van alle kasten en religies.

I had an excellent 1 full day trip with Ravi and our drover Manoj. We started with a morning boat ride, which was probably the highlight of the tour. We saw the ghata, the ceremation sites and experienced the beautiful Ganges. We then saw the main temples walked in the old city and finished at the Saranath. Ravi is very knowledgeable and friendly. Not pushy so makes it easy if you like being easygoing. Definitely recommend him.

A must visit city in India, and with a knowledge guide Pradeep Pandey we were involved in the rituals of the holy city of Varanasi. Our guide Pradeep gave to as a lot of information about hindi religion and he was realy focused on us that we had understood everything correctly, because of our guide and realy nice driver we have spent a wonderful day in Varanasi. Our time with Samir and this tour was fantastic! The company contacted us well in advance to make sure all our plans were finalized, which was very nice, as this was our first trip to India. The big draw of this tour is the visit to the Taj Mahal. Samir picked us up at the perfect time: we were first in line to enter the Taj Mahal when it opened, and he made sure we were able to experience the Taj Mahal before any crowds started to form. Our pictures were amazing because of this! For a once in a lifetime experience, Samir couldn’t have made it more special. And, he continued to do this for us at the other sites as well. Along with all of this, Samir is so knowledgeable about each site, and he is able to share an impressive amount of information in an interesting and engaging way. Ending with a sunset just made the day so much more special too. Overall, our group was extremely satisfied with this tour (and Samir!) and would highly recommend it for first timers like us!
