Het Grand Palace werd gebouwd samen met de stichting van Bangkok in 1782 toen koning Rama 1 de troon besteeg en een nieuwe dynastie stichtte. Het Grand Palace is erg belangrijk omdat het vroeger het palladium van de staat was. Het werd gebruikt voor zowel de koninklijke residentie als het administratieve centrum van het land in het regeringssysteem van absolute monarchie. Tegenwoordig wordt het paleis alleen gebruikt voor ceremoniën. Het architectonische plan van dit paleis was bijna identiek in elk detail aan het Grand Palace van de voormalige hoofdstad Ayutthaya (ongeveer 600 jaar geleden), omdat de koning de glorie van de stad wilde herscheppen zoals het in het verleden was. Het werd dus volledig eerst gebouwd in traditionele Thaise stijl. Echter, in verschillende periodes hebben de invloeden van andere naties invloed op de architectuur in Thailand in verschillende regeerperioden zoals de Chinese elementen die door koning Rama 3 in het begin van de 19e eeuw werden geïntroduceerd en de westerse bouwstijl die door koning Rama 5 in de late 19e eeuw werd geïntroduceerd.
Het Smaragdgroene Boeddhabeeld, het belangrijkste Boeddhabeeld in Thailand, bevindt zich in de wijdingszaal van de tempel. Het beeld van de Smaragdgroene Boeddha is niet gegoten uit Smaragd maar is gegoten uit hoge kwaliteit groene jade. We vonden de Boeddha afbeelding in 1432. Er is geen duidelijk bewijs wanneer de Reclining Buddha Temple of Wat Pho Temple voor het eerst werd gebouwd, maar we geloven dat de tempel er al meer dan 300 jaar staat voor de stichting van zowel de hoofdstad Thonburi als Bangkok. Daar zie je het mooiste Liggende Boeddha beeld van Thailand met 46 meter lang en 15 meter hoog.
Wat Arun Tempel of de Tempel van de Dageraad is de bezienswaardigheid van Bangkok. Daar zie je de hoogste Prang toren van Bangkok met een hoogte van 67 meter.

Excellent way to see the major sights of Bangkok. There's a lot to see and a lot to learn. Our guide was organised, he made the structure of the day clear, and took great photos of us all. He also suggested an extra activity (long tail boats) that worked brilliantly.
Belle and Tee were amazing on our tour. Such beautiful temples and great memories made with the good company of Belle and Tee. Thank you So Much for the great enjoyment you have filled my trip with!
Our guide, Belle, and driver, Tu, were amazing!!! They worked really well as a team efficiently getting us from place to place with little to no friction. Belle literally had friends everywhere, especially in all of the strategic places that allowed us to get some special treatment and got us to the attractions more easily! She knew the fastest way to walk from place to place. She also knew EXACTLY where to stand and where the best pictures would be! As Belle said, she’s a photographer first and tour guide second. She was also very knowledgeable about the history and importance of each of the items/places we were seeing/visiting. Tu was usually waiting for us when we got done with an attraction, ready to move on to the next. He even had cold water and cold, disposable wet towels for us after each stop to help cool us down from the Bangkok heat!!! There is really no better way to see the Grand Palace, Temple of the Reclining Buddha and Temple of Dawn!

We had a good day with Lake. She was friendly, patient, and helped us understand a bit more about Thai culture. The temples were stunning, especially the colorful details at the Grand Palace and Wat Arun. The service was good and everything was arranged well.
Bow made the day feel easy and comfortable. She helped us with tickets, where to walk, and where to stand for photos. The palace area had a lot of detail, and the big Buddha was much larger than I expected. The last temple had a nice view and a different style. It was a good Bangkok experience.
I have seen a few temples in Thailand already, but this tour still felt worth it. Vee explained the difference between the palace area, Wat Pho, and Wat Arun, so it did not feel like seeing the same thing three times. The Grand Palace felt more formal and royal, Wat Pho felt more peaceful, and Wat Arun had its own style near the river. It was a solid day and not difficult to enjoy.
We visited on a cloudy day, but it actually made the pictures turn out really nice. The Grand Palace had a strong royal feeling, with big buildings, painted walls, and Thai-style roofs everywhere. Poppy knew a few corners where the background looked less crowded, so we got better photos than expected. Wat Pho was also worth seeing, especially the Reclining Buddha. Wat Arun felt different again, more open and great for taking pictures by the river.
I had seen pictures of the Grand Palace before, but being there felt very different. The colors and gold details were much brighter in person. Donut helped explain the main history and also told us where we could take good photos. Wat Pho was my favorite because the Reclining Buddha was really impressive. Wat Arun was beautiful too, especially from close up.
I came with my parents, and this tour worked well for us. Bow was patient and helped explain the places in easy English. My mother loved the Grand Palace, and my father liked Wat Arun because it looked different from the other temples. There was some walking, but it was manageable.
