Tijdens deze culturele tour zullen we de plaatsen bereiken die al in 1971 door Francis Ford Coppola zijn ontdekt voor zijn memorabele film "Il Padrino". We bezoeken het dorp Savoca en Forza D'Aro en volgen de stappen van de jonge "Michael Corleone" en zijn familie. We bezoeken de meest karakteristieke plaatsen van de film in fasen: - Palazzo Trimarchi (de beroemde Bar Vitelli) - Kerk van San Nicolo (trouwlocatie) - P.zza SS. Annunziata - Chiesa SS. I booked this tour. I didn’t realize it was a private tour but I am glad I did. The ride was comfortable, Rosario spoke excellent English and was extremely knowledgeable. When we got to Savota we took a tuk tuk which is similar to a golf cart to the top of the very steep long hill up to the church where Michael and Apollonia got married. There is only room for 3 people so your groups didn’t have this option. Rosario stopped along the way, explained everything, took photos of us and took us to a second village where parts 2 and 3 had scenes filmed as well. Overall, this was an excellent experience for us with Rosario and we highly recommend it. We found him to be very attentive to our comfort, answering questions and had a wonderful personality. We traveled to Taromina from NY.
This was a group tour - about 16 people - with Rosario. Rosario is a fantastic, funny, informative, friendly tourguide. If you love The Godfather Trilogy, want to see were a number of the Sicilian scenes were filmed, and want to get some insider dirt, while also learning about Sicily, don’t miss traveling with him. You will always remember your visit and will be inspired to watch the films again.
We visited the Godfather villages on a private tour with Rosario. I was hoping to experience what authentic Sicilian life was like. This exceeded expectations. Highly recommend
Great tour if you love the Godfather but a very scenic drive if you do not. Our guide Rosario was fantastic and very well informed about the film. Savoca is stunning and the views from the town are too. We had lunch at another location for the film Forza D’agro which the larger tours do not cover and Rosario showed us clips from the film at the exact location. A trip well worth doing and ask for Rosario
Guide was absolutely excellent and the trip was very enjoyable especially for the godfather’s buffs .

Absolutely wonderful tour! Our guide Rosario was entertaining and knowledgeable. The tour included villages where the Godfather movies were filmed but the tour was so much more. We went to see two very old villages and learned about their people, culture, and history. We got a drink inside the bar where they shot the scene where Michael “asks” to court Apolonia, so that was very cool for fans like us. I would absolutely recommend Sicily Legend Tours!
