Ervaar de levendige culinaire diversiteit van Split tijdens onze exclusieve rondleiding die zowel geschiedenisliefhebbers als fijnproevers aanspreekt: verken het Paleis van Diocletianus, proef lokale delicatessen op de markt en geniet van een traditionele Dalmatische Marenda, een typisch Dalmatische vroege lunch met lokale wijnen. Paleis van Diocletianus: ontdek de rijke en tumultueuze geschiedenis van het paleis van Diocletianus, dat meer dan 1700 jaar oud is. In tegenstelling tot een stoffig museum leeft het paleis nog steeds met de lokale bevolking die binnen de muren woont en werkt. In het paleis bevinden zich een verscheidenheid aan restaurants, speciaalzaken en ambachtelijke werkplaatsen.
Groene Markt: Ga met ons mee terwijl we door de bruisende markt slenteren en genieten van lokale delicatessen, waaronder Dalmatische prosciutto, lokale kaas en rakija. Dit zijn slechts enkele van de vele specialiteiten die de unieke keuken van de stad bepalen. Dompel jezelf onder in de levendige energie van de markt en ontdek de smaken en aroma's die de eetcultuur van Split echt onvergetelijk maken.
Sweet Stop: Onze op maat gemaakte foodtour is ontworpen voor fijnproevers, kaasliefhebbers en zoetekauwen. Om je zoete trek te stillen, stoppen we bij een lokaal etablissement dat gespecialiseerd is in traditionele zoetigheden. Geniet van een verscheidenheid aan lekkernijen die uniek zijn voor de regio en die uw smaakpapillen zeker zullen prikkelen.
Eetstop: Als we het paleis verlaten, ontvouwt onze reis door de middeleeuwse straten van Split zich. Trakteer uzelf in deze historische omgeving op een typisch culinair genot uit de Balkan: burek. Kies uit verschillende smaken, variërend van klassiek vlees tot verleidelijke kaas-, spinazie- of aardappelvullingen.
Eetstop: Terwijl we de oude straten van Split verkennen, zal uw gids tal van restaurantsuggesties geven. Bij een van onze haltes heeft u de mogelijkheid om Ćevapčići, een regionale specialiteit, te proeven. Ćevapčići, de verkleinwoordvorm van Ćevapi, afgeleid van het Turkse kebap, heeft een rijke geschiedenis. Dit gerecht ontstond tijdens de Ottomaanse overheersing op de Balkan en werd overgenomen door hajduks (rebellen) van de bezetter, waarschijnlijk met zijn wortels die teruggaan tot Perzië.
Wijn- en spijsproeverij: voor de proeverij ontsnappen we aan de drukte van de toeristische drukte en trekken we ons terug in een restaurant. Hier kunt u genieten van een exclusieve proeverij van eersteklas lokale wijnen en delicatessen. Proef twee verschillende wijnen van hoge kwaliteit, elk vakkundig gecombineerd met Dalmatische specialiteiten zoals risotto, mosselen, hobotnica-salade en andere heerlijke lekkernijen. Voor onze jonge gasten zijn er in plaats van wijn lekkere alcoholvrije drankjes om te proberen.

Wow what a great time we had in Split! 4 and f us booked a Private Food and Walking tour in Split. We come in for the day on our cruise ship and had no idea what to expect or even what to do. Dana met us and started us on an informative tour of Diocletians Palace. From there we walked through the market and discovered local prosciutto, cheese, honey and a blueberry liquor. She pointed out many historical sites along the way, taught us about local culture and even gave us time to shop for local olive oil. A quick stop for chocolates, a bite at a bakery then an incredible sit down lunch with local seafood dishes and wine! She even pointed out the best gelato in town for after our lunch. We had so much fun and would highly recommend this experience. Dana was like meeting an old friend showing off her beautiful town.

This tour is a great introduction to Split and Croatia’s history. It is a good combination of history and Croatian cuisine. Dana was a great guide! We typically do a food tour on our vacation and this was one of the best!

What an amazing way to see Split. Such a knowledgeable guide Jen. Would highly recommend this on your first day to get a feel for the city. We had an excellent tour with Dinah. We arrived in a heat wave and she was ready with options to help keep us cooler. She showed us the palace and had lots of interesting information to share.
