Firefly Park Resort Bukit Belimbing in Kuala Selangor, Maleisië. Is de enige plek in deze regio waar je getuige kunt zijn van SOMMIGE vuurvliegjes die synchroon flitsen, vaak het "Achtste wereldwonder" genoemd. Het is een van de meest bezochte bezienswaardigheden (POI) in Maleisië. Je wordt meegenomen op een boottocht langs de Selangor-rivier, waar de vuurvliegjes rond de takken van de "Berembang" -bomen langs de rivieroever remmen. Hier kunnen tot duizenden vuurvliegjes zich groeperen in een boom en beginnen hun weergave ongeveer een uur na zonsondergang. Een echt helder scherm duurt ongeveer twee tot drie uur en gaat door op lagere niveaus tot het ochtendgloren.

Bij aankomst bezoekt u Bukit Melawati, waar Fort Altingsburg is gevestigd. De heuvel wordt afgedekt door een vuurtoren omringd door hoge, mooie schaduwrijke bomen die een paradijs zijn voor lokale vogels, verzilverde bladapen en lange staart makaken. Je gaat naar een nabijgelegen vissersdorp voor een typisch diner met zeevruchten voordat je naar Kampung Kuantan gaat. .

Rond 18.30 uur breng je een bezoek aan Malay Village, Kampung Kuanatan, waar ze aan boord gaan van een boot. Reddingsvesten zijn aanwezig en de bootsman roeit de boot langs de rivier. Zoals eerder vermeld, presenteren miljoenen vuurvliegjes ons met een oogverblindende vertoning van lichten die synchroon flikkeren en die lijken op twinkelende elektrische lichten op een kerstboom. Je zult zeker versteld staan en het zicht zal je de adem benemen!

Fantastic morning seeing all the main KL sites. Our guide provided lots of interesting facts and light hearted stories. It was at a leisurely pace. Would definitely recommend.
Santhia was an excellent and warm guide, she gave us a lot of information throughout the tour. Santhia accompanied us safely through the tour and was very concerned about our well-being.This allowed us to really relax. The boat tour was fun and it was an experience to see the fireflies.

Another second great trip with Sathesh…great guide. The Firefly trip included Eagle feeding and Blue Tears sighting. All was great and to top it off one of the best seafood restaurants I have eaten in. A vey worthwhile trip and the best day in Malaysia so far. If we return we will surely use Sathesh.

We had a great experience with our driver, Sathesh. He arrived on time and patiently waited over 15 minutes for us without any complaint. Sathesh was extremely friendly, respectful, and accommodating throughout the trip. He took us on several wonderful excursions and even recommended must-see attractions like the Blue Tears and the Eagle Tour. As Muslims, we truly appreciated that he made the effort to find halal restaurants and helped us make reservations. On top of that, he kindly took many beautiful photos for us during the trip, helping us capture special memories. Overall, it was a fantastic experience thanks to his thoughtful and attentive service.

the car and driver were fantastic!! timings could have been better as was left for 2hours to wait for darkness to fall for boat trip. food was very disappointing!! only served mediocre chinese food which left a lot to be desired!! boat trip was great as were thr fireflys
Had an amazing time with my tour guide Mr. Sathesh. 1st time experience with feeding monkeys at the Altinburg lighthouse. We then went for our seafood dinner. This was the most delicious seafood I've ever tasted. Sathesh knows all the good resturants. We then proceeded to see the Selangor fireflies. They lit up the trees like Christmas lights. It was a spectacular sight to witness. The night ended with blue planktons (Blue tears). This was a once in a lifetime opportunity and it was breathtaking. The water turned bright blue with any movement. When the speed boat sped through the water, the sides and the back of the boat lit up like Blue Neon lights. Malaysia is the only country where you can see the blue planktons.
