Hakone, dat in slechts 73 minuten vanuit Shinjuku kan worden bereikt, staat bekend als een toeristische bestemming waar je jezelf kunt opfrissen in de natuur. Een prachtige vermiljoenbrug, gelegen in de buurt van station Hakone-Yumoto, die beroemd is als fotoplek. Hortensia is een bloem die bloeit in juni, en Hakone is ook een beroemde hortensia, dus het werd Hydrangea Bridge genoemd.
Een heiligdom met een geschiedenis van 1200 jaar of meer. Met name de Torii (houten poort) die aan het meer staat, wordt onlangs populair als een plek waar u unieke foto's kunt maken. De vermiljoen Torii in het helderblauwe kleurmeer is zo'n fantastisch uitzicht!
Hakone-piratenschip (Motohakone-haven): een grote boot om over het Ashi-meer te varen. U kunt genieten van het prachtige uitzicht op Lake Ashi en de buitengewone ruimte aan boord die is ingericht met Franse, Britse en Zweedse schepen als model.
Gelegen in Togendai Station, kunt u genieten van authentieke gegrilde gerechten en gerechten bereid met lokale ingrediënten terwijl u uitkijkt op Lake Ashi en piratenschepen.
Terwijl je over de Hakone-kabelbaan rijdt, word je plotseling vlak voor je ogen begroet door de golvende rook van Owakudani. Het is een zicht dat je zeker de adem zal benemen. Het landschap vanaf het observatiedek is adembenemend, waardoor het de perfecte plek is om te ontspannen en te verjongen na uw reizen.
Owakudani, gecreëerd door de uitbarsting van de Hakone-vulkaan 3000 jaar geleden, stoot nog steeds witte rook uit de hele vallei uit. In tegenstelling tot Hakone, dat vol zit met groen, is het rotsoppervlak blootgesteld en groeit de vegetatie niet het hele jaar door. Dit is een van de must-see Hakone-symbolen waar je de adem van de aarde kunt voelen.
Hakone Tozan-kabelbaan (Sounzan naar Gora): De Hakone Tozan-kabelbaan, geopend in 1921 (Taisho 10), is de oudste kabelbaan in de Kanto-regio met een rijke geschiedenis. Het verbindt het Gora-station van de Hakone Tozan-spoorweg met het Sounzan-station van de Hakone-kabelbaan en doorkruist een steile helling van 214 meter hoogteverschil.

The best experience I’ve ever had with a Tour. Everything went so smoothly that the experience felt calm and well planned out. The tour guide was so accommodating and nice, you could tell he truly loves being a guide. I would 100% book again. I learned so much and the experience was very positive!
I had a wonderful tour with Kentaro, I was able to see a lot of what Hakone has to offer and really enjoyed myself plus he was very knowledgeable and pleasant. It was really fun and I would totally do something like this again.
We wanted to do the Hakone loop but didn’t want to deal with the logistics of figuring out the trains, cable car, ropeway, pirate ship and bus back to Hakone station because we have two kids with us. Shinobu was our guide and he was amazing!!! So knowledgeable - he helped us with all the tickets (even when there was a mix up with my kids Hakone free pass vouchers). He was great and tolerant with my very wild kids. At the end of the tour he actually went out of his way to walk us to an onsen about 15 mins away that we never would have known about. We have small tattoos so I was worried about being able to have an onsen experience but he was very reassuring. We had a great time all day!
Our guide, Yoshi, was very thorough and prepared with lots of information . We had a great time and learned a lot. There was quite a bit of walking but we saw a lot of beautiful views and extraordinary sights. It was a beautiful day to see Mt. Fuji.

We had a very good experience overall with this private tour in Hakone. Our guide Osamu was excellent — very friendly, knowledgeable, and organized throughout the day. He shared a lot of interesting information about the area, history, and local culture, which made the tour much more enjoyable. The only downside was that 6 hours felt too short for Hakone, especially because of the long queues for the ropeway and buses, which seem to be very common in the area. We lost quite a lot of time waiting in lines, so later we had to rush through some of the attractions to stay on schedule. I would recommend either extending the tour time or planning fewer stops in order to enjoy each place more calmly. Still, thanks to our guide’s professionalism and positive attitude, we had a memorable day and were able to see many beautiful places in Hakone.
Great experience would recommend the 8 hour trip. Enough to do in one day. Hakonne is a beautiful and relaxing place having come from Tokyo. Yutaka Sumita was our excellent English speaking tour guide. He explained the planned itinerary to us and accommodated any requests or changes. We were happy we got a wonderful guide to take us around Hakone for the day. Eriko met us at train station and assisted us in all transportation means and actvities and was very flexible to what we wanted to do. She spoke good English and translated so much for us. We did part of the Hakone loop, the pitate ship, ate the black eggs which were delicious, wentt to small museum to learn about the volcanic springs we enjoyed in Hakone, saw a beautiful garden, took place in a nice tea ceremony there and Eriko took care of all the communication we needed to make the day enjoyable and fun. I would recommend her for your tour. It was nice not trying to do everything on our own for the day for a change:) We were repsnsible for all transportation, lunch, and event fees throughout the day which we knew.
Atsushi was a perfect guide as we did the entire Hakone loop and even had time to explore the Open Air Museum. We accomplished so much and Atsushi added plenty of informative tidbits along the way - even helping us navigate a very crowded Sunday in Hakone.
All in all, a great day out, doing things you probably could do yourself but it takes any stress out of the day having all planned out in a logical and timely fashion. Tatsu was a great guide - no information overload, just enthusiastic detail and explanation of Japanese culture and traditions. The tour was conducted at a pace we were comfortable with and yes, I guess we were lucky wirh the weather but a second perfect day of Mount Fuji views, enjoying the Ashinoko Lake cruise and Odawara steaming Volcano landscape in between the Peace Torii Gate & Shrine and lastly the Gora gardens. Ideally you aditionally need the Hakone freepass, which we purhased at the start of the day.
