De verbazingwekkende Sintra is de plek waar de romantiek stopte met het zoeken naar een plek om te wonen. Ontdek Sintra erkend door Unesco als Werelderfgoed, bekroond door een kasteel en boordevol paleizen.

Een oud vissersdorp dat nu toeristen vangt in plaats van vis, het is nu een kosmopolitische stad met prachtige stranden.

Queluz National Palace is een 18e-eeuws paleis in de stad Queluz. Na de brand die het Ajuda-paleis in 1794 trof, werd het Queluz-paleis de officiële residentie van de Portugese prinsregent, de toekomstige D. João VI en zijn familie. Dat bleef zo totdat de koninklijke familie in 1807 naar Brazilië ontsnapte, vanwege de Franse invasie in Portugal.
Nationaal paleis Sintra, ook bekend als Vila Palace, heeft kenmerken van middeleeuwse, gotische, Manuelijnse, renaissancistische en romantische architectuur. Het wordt beschouwd als een voorbeeld van organische architectuur, een verzameling lichamen die blijkbaar gescheiden zijn, maar die deel uitmaken van een geheel met elkaar gearticuleerd, via binnenplaatsen, trappen, gangen en galerijen. Het paleis werd praktisch gebruikt tot het einde van de monarchie, in 1910 door de Portugese koninklijke familie. Hier ontving D. Manuel het nieuws van de ontdekking van Brazilië, hier werd D. Afonso V geboren en stierf, het was hier dat D. gevangen zat. Alfonso VI, het was hier dat D. João II koning werd.

The tour was amazing, we visited everything planned. Our guide Marco Antonio was exceptional: super friendly, excellent predisposition and very extensive knowledge. Always busy explaining ourselves and making us comfortable. He drove very prudently. The vehicle in excellent condition and very comfortable. Plus the cheaper price than other companies and the very personalized treatment (we were just our family, 6 people)

We took the private tour with driver Marco Aulette, the experience was optimal! Marco developed very much with Spanish , speaking slowly so that we can understand everything (since only one of us understood Portuguese) made us know tourist places and other places of passage that only one resident knows.
