Prachtig uitzicht op de bergen en meren van Killarney National Park. Meest favoriete plek van Hare Majesteit Koningin Victoria, die Killarney in 1861 bezocht.
De Dingle Crystal-workshop is een kleine familiezaak die wordt gerund door Master Sean met zijn zonen. We kunnen daar zien hoe meesterwerken verschijnen in de handen van een kunstenaar. Veel van die items kunnen we in het atelier bewonderen en zelfs een aantal bestellen voor de collectie.
De plaats die getuige was van de ontwikkeling van de eerste beschaving op het schiereiland Dingle. Hutten die eruitzien als grote bijenkorven, gebouwd met stenen zonder mortel.
Steek over bij Slea Head drive. Het meest westelijke puntje van het schiereiland Dingle. Prachtig uitzicht op de Atlantische Oceaan en de Blasket-eilanden. Dat is het punt waar we een kans hebben om dolfijnen of zelfs walvissen te zien.
Geweldige audiovisuele presentatie gericht op lokale plaatsen. Blasket-eilanden, Skellig-eilanden en lokale geschiedenis. Cafetaria, restaurant en toiletvoorziening.
Gallarus Oratorium is een bijenkorfhut uit de 6e eeuw. Is eigenlijk de eerste christelijke kerk, monastieke kant in Ierland. Galarus is een geweldig voorbeeld van hoog niveau van techniek uit de oudheid. Gebouw zoals kapel is gebouwd met perfect passende rotsen zonder mortel. Alle rotsen staan onder een bepaalde hoek waardoor er geen water doorheen kan lopen. Binnen is het altijd droog, zelfs bij hevige regenval. Dit is de geschiedenis van keltische ingenieurs die nergens anders te zien zijn.
Kilmalkedar wordt geassocieerd met Saint Brendan de Zeevaarder. tweede bisschop van Ierland na Saint Patrick. Ook met plaatselijk bekende Saint Maolcethair (Malkedar) die stierf in 636. Gebouw dat er tot nu toe staat dateert uit de 12e eeuw. Voor 900 jaar oud is in perfecte staat. Kerkhof rondom is ook oud met echte Keltische stenen zonnewijzer (tikt nog steeds)
Laten we een prachtig uitzicht zien vanaf 1200 voet boven de zee, heel dichtbij. Castlegregory Village en de Noord-Atlantische Oceaan aan de ene kant en het charmante stadje Dingle en de baai van Dingle daarachter.

If I could rate this higher than 5 stars, I would. This was my favorite day of our 10-day vacation in Ireland... worth every penny! Our tour guide, Richard, is easily one of my favorite people I've met abroad. He was so kind, funny, and knowledgeable of the area. He tailored our day based on our interests and had so many historical and personal stories to tell about the various places we stopped. He knew where to get the best photos and drove the cliffs with such ease. We had so much fun spending the day with him and exploring the beautiful, scenic drive to Dingle and around the peninsula. Thank you Richard!!

We coupled our stay in Killarney with a day of touring the Ring of Kerry and a day of touring the Dingle peninsula. Tony, our driver and guide was lovely. He was sure to take us to sites both well traveled and more solitary. Our first stop was Inch Beach, which was gorgeous—giving us a glimpse of a surfing beach with a broad shoreline. After a coffee, we made our way to Dingle, stopping along the way to take in the picturesque views (literally). Tony gave us two hours to tour Dingle and enjoy a nice lunch in town. After Dingle we drove around the peninsula stopping at the beehive huts and a pub where Dolly Parton once walked in and gave a surprise performance. Tony was very knowledgeable about the area made sure we saw the best of the peninsula and the magnificence of the area. This is a great private tour and Tony was a very safe driver and gave a great tour of Dingle and the Sleigh Head.

We had a great tour! I felt. Little bad since this was day 2 and jet lag hit me so a I fell asleep early on. But once we hit a couple stops we perked up and had. A great tour. Seeing Dingle Peninsula in private tour was the way to go. You get to go where tour busses couldn’t. I know we saw things the big tours disn’t! Peter was super pleasant and local to Kenmare, so he was super knowledgeable about things in the area. He also offered us help if we needed it to get through the Beara Peninsa if we needed it!
