Een boek over een jongen die opgroeide in SA tijdens het apartheidstijdperk. Hij zal op de tour veel verhalen over Zuid-Afrika en zijn ervaringen opnemen. Dit is een educatieve tour van een 3e generatie Zuid-Afrikaan. Het Apartheidsmuseum is een museum van wereldklasse. Het Grondwettelijk Hof is een unieke kans om het hoogste gerechtshof van ons land te bezoeken. De gevangenis maakt je SA-ervaring compleet

Vilakazi Street is waar Nelson Mandela en Bishop Tutu Houses zijn. Er is ook een aantal restaurants. we rijden door het gebied en geven je een idee van wat Soweto drijft.
Tijdens onze rit naar Soweto geven we je een goed algemeen beeld van de township, inclusief geschiedenis en interessante feiten. We zullen ook informatie opnemen over Mandela House, sloppenwijken en beveiliging. We zetten je af bij het Mandela-huis in Soweto, dit is onze eerste stop. U betaalt dan uw toegangsprijs en een gids zal u vergezellen op de tour. De kosten van de tour zijn R 100. Als je klaar bent, gaan we naar de volgende halte in de straat Vilakazi.
We nemen je mee naar de township voor een ritje om de verschillende gebieden te zien
NB HET MUSEUM IS ENKEL GEOPEND VAN WOENSDAG T/M ZONDAG. Dit is een geweldig bezoek en iets dat alle reizigers zouden moeten meemaken. Het geeft je een heel goed idee wat Zuid-Afrika was vóór de onafhankelijkheid. U kunt maximaal 3 uur door het museum lopen. De kosten zijn R 150. We zullen u een overzicht geven van wat u kunt verwachten tijdens onze rit vanuit Soweto. Dit is de meest populaire toeristische attractie in Johannesburg.
Een van mijn favoriete tochten. Bezoek de gevangenis die Mandela, Ghandi en vele beroemde politici doorbrachten in de gevangenis. Ook zie je het Oude Fort, de Damesgevangenis en het nieuwe Grondwettelijk Hof. Het is een trieste geschiedenis van hoe slecht mensen werden behandeld en hopelijk zal dit met onze nieuwe grondwet niet meer gebeuren. Kosten zijn R 90 per persoon
Een rit passeert het centrale zakendistrict dat is aangewezen door de meeste hoofdkantoren van grote bedrijven en onze aandelenmarkt. We passeren ook veel van de enorme goudmijnstortplaatsen en Anglo American Gold-hoofdkantoren.

We really enjoyed our day with Shane. He was extremely friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable about the role of apartheid in the development of South African society. Unfortunately, we were unable to visit the Apartheid Museum (as it was closed due to Good Friday) but he made up for it by taking us to Lesedi Cultural Village and the Cradle of Humankind. We truly enjoyed our time with him and it was a perfect introduction to South Africa.

This was just South African born Shane, myself and my husband. Shane was very knowledgeable personable and accumulating. We went early to Mandela's house so we're the only ones there and had a lovely tour guide to ourselves. The apartheid museum is well worth a visit, (you could choose how long you stay there) as was Melrose Arch where we ended our tour. It was good to get a realistic view of Soweto which wasn't as I thought it would be. I would strongly recommend this tour.

We had a brilliant time on our tour and seen a lot of sights in a short period of time. Our guide, Shane, was very knowledgeable and took us to the sights at the right times to avoid any queues. Shane took photos of us at the various sights so we didn’t have to at the time and gave us a great restaurant recommendation. As first time visitors to Johannesburg, we greatly appreciated Shane’s knowledge of the area and felt very safe on the trip. We learned so much about South African history and would highly recommend this tour!

Interesting half-day tour with Shane through the Soweto neighborhood and the Mandela house. The visit to the Apartheid Museum was interesting and overwhelming. The visit to the Constitutional Court was very interesting. Shane gave us a lot of background information about South Africa and its history, without going into too much detail. We really enjoyed it.

We took a tour of Johannesburg with Shane. Shane picked us up at 2 different hotels and we headed out. We hit the highlights recommended by Shane as we were open to anything. Saw the Mandela house, Constitution Hill, and the Apartheid Museum. Shane was a great guide and we enjoyed learning what he had to share. Highly recommend.
