Beginnend vanuit Nagano City of een van de 5 belangrijkste skigebieden van Nagano (Hakuba, Shiga Kogen, Nozawa Onsen, Myoko Kogen, Madarao Kogen), wij halen uw gezelschap op in ons privévoertuig om u mee te nemen op uw privétour en brengen u terug naar de ophaallocatie of in Nagano City. Tijdens deze tour bezoekt u het beroemde Jigokudani Monkey Park en leert u alles over wat de apen zo uniek maakt. Geniet van een lunch in een nabijgelegen restaurant en ervaar de beroemde eetcultuur van Nagano. Gasten krijgen ook de kans om door de charmante straten van de historische stad Obuse te slenteren en te genieten van het bekijken van de resterende gebouwen uit de Edo-periode, en om Zenko-ji te verkennen, een van de oudste en belangrijkste boeddhistische tempels van Japan, en de thuisbasis van de eerste bekend boeddhistisch beeld dat naar Japan wordt gebracht. Een Sake-proeverij met gedetailleerde uitleg van uw gids is ook inbegrepen (niet-alcoholische opties beschikbaar).

Zodra uw tour begint, stapt u aan boord van ons privétourvoertuig en verlaat u de stad terwijl u wordt vervoerd naar het Snow Monkey Park, gelegen in de onsenstad Yudanaka aan de voet van de bergen. Je gids neemt je mee langs het bospad dat naar het park en Jigokudani leidt - nogal dramatisch vertaald naar 'Hell's Valley'. De thuisbasis van de enige groep apen ter wereld waarvan bekend is dat ze in warmwaterbronnen baden. Er zijn geen barrières die je scheiden van de wilde apen, waardoor dit een unieke en onvergetelijke ervaring is. Je gids zal deze werkelijk nieuwsgierige wezens introduceren en je de tijd geven om te genieten van de unieke ervaring om ze van dichtbij te observeren. Zorg ervoor dat je je camera meeneemt, want je hebt hem nodig!
Uw Gids zal u dan terug begeleiden langs het pad naar het nabijgelegen Hotarutei voor een welverdiende lunch en u zult genieten van "nabe", wat "hot pot" betekent in het Japans. Nabe is een klassiek wintervoedsel in Japan en een perfecte manier om op te warmen op een koude winterdag. Om aan individuele voorkeuren te voldoen, kunt u kiezen tussen rundvlees, zeevruchten of vegetarische nabe. Daarnaast bestaat uw maaltijd uit diverse tempura, misosoep, sushi en thee/koffie. Deze prachtig bereide, vullende lunch is ontworpen om bij het seizoen te passen en het beste van de gerenommeerde eetcultuur van Nagano te benadrukken.
Goed gevoed en tevreden is het tijd om Yudanaka te verlaten om het pittoreske stadje Obuse en de resterende gebouwen in Edo-stijl te verkennen. Bekend om zijn historische karakter, kastanjedelicatessen en sakebrouwerijen, biedt een wandeling door de straten van Obuse een ongelooflijke kans om enkele lokale specialiteiten te proeven en de lokale cultuur van Nagano en Japan als geheel te waarderen tijdens deze wandeling door de tijd. Nadat u enige tijd in Obuse heeft doorgebracht, stapt u opnieuw in het privévoertuig op weg naar Nagano City
De Zenko-ji-tempel, als geregistreerde nationale schat, is de belangrijkste culturele plek in Nagano en een van de oudste en belangrijkste boeddhistische tempels in het hele land! Een plaats van echt historisch belang, vol legendes en mythen. Je wordt rondgeleid door de tempel voordat je gids je de kans geeft om het omliggende gebied met kleinere tempels, winkels en eten zelf te verkennen. Als de op een na grootste sake-producent van Japan is Nagano synoniem met sake en geen bezoek aan de regio is compleet zonder je te verdiepen in de beroemdste drank van Japan. Je gids leidt je gezelschap naar een lokale sake-producent en laat je zien hoe je het ene brouwsel van het andere kunt onderscheiden terwijl je een verscheidenheid aan alcoholische en niet-alcoholische dranken proeft. Dankzij de informatie van uw gids kunt u op een zinvolle manier van sake blijven genieten, zelfs nadat de tour is afgelopen.

Fantastic! We saw the monkeys coming in from the mountain. The guide was very good and flexible. We changed plans to see the Olympic museum which was no problem. The story of the temple was explained very well.
Dillon was an awesome guide. We had a great day. Snow Monkeys were a blast and saw 100s of them. Lunch was amazing, and Zenko-ji Temple was super interesting and beautiful. Dillon was fun and informative and made this a great private family excursion

Our first time to Nagano. It was a great trip with our guide Jake. We saw many snow monkeys along with many different sites. The hot pot lunch was great too. We would recommend people take this tour.
We were staying in Hakuba and wanted a day off skiing so booked the tour which was a great day out. Our guide Hana was super lovely and friendly. The monkeys were out in good numbers, the lunch superb and the temple great to see.

We had a really wonderful day! It was varied and gave everyone something to enjoy. The snow monkey visit was adorable and watching them play was fantastic. Our kids all enjoyed the chance to stretch their legs and hike a little too. Then on to the most beautiful lunch we have had so far in Japan. We felt like royalty. The shrine visit was interesting and the Sake tasting even included the kids- they have non-alcoholic varieties! Our guide, Hiroshi, engaged with all of us, the kids included. (For context, our kids are 10, 12, and 14.) It was a great way to see a very beautiful part of Japan.

Snow Monkeys were alot of fun and very cute. Its worth seeing them - especially the babies. The walk in is a bit trecherous - very icy but our 87 and 81 year old patriarch and matriarch made it fine. Lunch was the best meal of the whole trip and the best tour lunch we have ever had anywhere in the world. It is a bit expensive but worth it in the end. Kei, our guide, was amazing. I cannot recommend this tour enough! My wife and I booked a private tour with Endo who took us, our three small children, and father-in-law on a wonderful tour of Osaka and to see the snow monkeys. It will end up being the highlight of our Japan trip for our two boys who we had to drag out of the park because they did not want to leave. Endo taught us so much about the culture of Osaka and really cared about us and our kids. Our oldest son was glued to his side and he made us feel like part of his family. We booked a private tour, and it was fantastic! Hiroshi, our guide, was knowledgeable and accommodating. The monkey park was incredible, and the lunch felt authentic and tasted delicious. We stopped at a beautiful little town and enjoyed learning about the Zenkoji temple and sake tasting after (there was even NA sake for the kids). After the tour ended, the driver took us to our ski resort. It was all enjoyable and pleasant. Highly recommend this tour!
