De Sabugafontein ligt verscholen in het historische centrum van Sintra en is een rustige 17e-eeuwse plek die bekend staat om zijn frisse, mineraalrijke water en lokale tradities. Lang geassocieerd met legendes van genezing en welzijn, biedt deze rustige fontein een charmante pauze langs de route en een kijkje in het culturele erfgoed van Sintra.
Geniet vanaf de bergweg van een ver uitzicht op het Moorse kasteel, een oud fort waarvan de stenen muren zich uitstrekken over de heuvels van Sintra. We bezoeken het kasteel niet of stoppen niet bij de ingang, maar dit schilderachtige uitzichtpunt biedt een geweldige kans om zijn indrukwekkende silhouet te bewonderen en de historische rol in de regio te begrijpen.
Bezoek Pena Palace, het meest iconische monument van Sintra en een UNESCO-werelderfgoed. Je Essential Ticket is inbegrepen en geeft toegang tot het interieur van het paleis en het omliggende park. Tijdens uw vrije tijd in het historische centrum van Sintra, kunt u Piriquita bezoeken, een beroemde banketbakkerij opgericht in 1862 en bekend om traditionele lokale zoetigheden zoals travesseiros en queijadas. Deze stop is optioneel, en eten of drinken zijn niet inbegrepen in de tourprijs.
Quinta da Regaleira wordt alleen bezocht wanneer u de optie Pena Palace & Quinta da Regaleira Tour selecteert. Deze optie omvat het toegangsticket, het interieurbezoek en begeleide ondersteuning bij Quinta da Regaleira, inclusief de tuinen, symbolische architectuur, verborgen tunnels en de beroemde inwijdingsbron. Stop voor de lunch in Colares, een traditioneel dorp in de regio Sintra dat bekend staat om zijn wijngaarden, landelijke landschappen en authentieke lokale sfeer. Gasten hebben de tijd om te genieten van Portugese gerechten in een lokaal restaurant, met opties die verse vis, regionale vleesgerechten en vegetarische keuzes kunnen omvatten. Ontdek Cabo da Roca, het meest westelijke punt van het Portugese vasteland en het Europese vasteland. Geniet van adembenemende uitzichten en maak onvergetelijke foto's op deze iconische locatie, vaak beschreven als het "einde van Europa", waar dramatische kliffen samenkomen met de uitgestrekte Atlantische Oceaan, wat een memorabele en schilderachtige afsluiting van de reis biedt.

De dramatische naam Boca do Inferno – wat “mond van de hel” betekent – komt van de opvallende rotsformatie die door de meedogenloze kracht van de Atlantische Oceaan in de kliffen is uitgehouwen. Wanneer de golven in de grot eronder botsen, explodeert het water door de opening in een krachtige en dramatische weergave, waardoor een van de meest indrukwekkende natuurlijke spektakels langs de kustlijn van Cascais ontstaat.
Cascais markeert het laatste schilderachtige hoogtepunt van de tour. We maken een stop van 30 minuten in dit charmante kustplaatsje, zodat u tijd heeft voor een korte wandeling door het historische centrum, bladeren door lokale winkels en genieten van de sfeer aan zee in de buurt van de baai. Cascais staat bekend om zijn elegante charme, uitzicht op de oceaan en ontspannen levensstijl aan de kust en biedt een aangenaam afsluitingsmoment voor de terugreis naar Lissabon.
