Een paar dingen die je onderweg heel goed zult ontdekken, zijn onder meer een Sibenik-patroonheilige, de eerste heilig verklaarde Kroatische man, het theater waar dokter Kovach (uit ER) zijn carrière begon, edelen, eerste en tweede stadstitel, vier forten, twee belegeringen, de Duitse naam van een fort, middeleeuwse «olie», de orthodoxe kerk die een katholiek klooster was dat een tempelierskasteel was, de eerste mechanische openbare klok die werd gestolen, vuur, Venetianen, een echt oude kerk, drie jaar beleg, oorlogen (voornamelijk met de Ottomanen), pest (hopelijk niet uit de eerste hand), een kleine begraafplaats, misschien een originele begrafenis als je geluk hebt, gebombardeerde kerken, een lokale oligarch die zijn huis in klooster veranderde, hoeken op straat dichtmetselen, oorlog met Venetianen, verwoesting, meer oorlog (voornamelijk met het Joegoslavische leger), middeleeuws toilet en airconditioning, kathedraal met klokkengelui uit het Vaticaan, Games of Thrones, verkoop van Dalmatië, beschadigde neuzen, bakstenen uit Venetië, vorm van straf en nog veel meer.

Wonderful tour with an excellent story teller. The city is the star of the show and Igor gives the history as a charming tale. Just what we were looking for. Would not miss this. We felt it was time well spent.
My husband and I had a private evening walking/history tour with Igor. What a brilliant experience. It was great fun, really informative and it gave us a valuable insight into Šibenik and the surrounding area. We learned about the culture, history, people ... Igor has a great perspective, not being originally from the area, and he shares the local beliefs and traditions learned from his family here. A charming, warm and welcoming introduction to the region. An absolute must for the beginning of your holiday.
I highly recommend this tour as it provides a great informational background on the town of Sibenik. Yes you can just visit Sibenik and take in the beautiful atmosphere, but this tour really provides you with an understanding of the history and a deeper appreciation of the town. Igor is extremely knowledgeable of the history of the town and you can tell he took the extra effort to really research more details on his own to find the truth. He provides a great approach to touring by providing a light hearted vibe while also being fully thorough in his presentation of the city.

Honestly this is the best tour I’ve ever taken! Beyond a tour guide, Igor is a passionate historian who will give you an amazing amount of information that he makes easily digestible with fascinating stories and humor! We had an amazing walking tour with Igor in Sibeni, which exceeded our expectations, even though we read the other reviews previously. Igor is extremely knowledgeable and fun at the same time. He also does his own research of Sibenik history which he is really passionate about. During our tour we also learned about his roots in Croatia and Sibenik, how he fell in love with this wonderful city. We really enjoyed the time with Igor, his is a real professional and a charming person. We would highly recommend his tours to anyone.
