Terwijl u in de haven van Palma de Mallorca bent, kunt u de dorpen Valldemossa en Palma de Mallorca verkennen op een privéexcursie met een privégids. Bewonder de prachtige Middellandse Zee terwijl je langs de noordwestkust naar Valldemossa rijdt. Dwaal rond in dit charmante dorp, pak een kop koffie in een van de vele cafés en geniet van het uitzicht op de Serra de Tramuntana, een bergketen die op de werelderfgoedlijst van UNESCO staat. Stop bij Bellver Castle voor een prachtig uitzicht op Palma en strek je benen tijdens een wandeltocht door Palma. Loop langs de kathedraal van Santa Maria (beter bekend als La Seu), het Koninklijk Paleis van de Almudaina en de oude vismarkt, voordat je terugkeert naar je cruiseschip.

Een excursie is veel meer dan alleen maar u van uw hotel in Mallorca naar de locatie brengen. Onze filosofie is dat elke excursie op Mallorca een ervaring moet zijn en we gebruiken de beste gidsen en kiezen de beste routes om ervoor te zorgen dat we onvergetelijke ervaringen creëren.
Deze reis brengt ons eerst naar Valldemossa, waar je door de rustige geplaveide straatjes kunt slenteren of kunt ontspannen en genieten van een kopje koffie terwijl je een van de lokale delicatessen verslindt, zoals de 'coca de patatas' (kleine cake op basis van aardappelen) zoals bij deze tijd van de dag hebben we het charmante stadje meestal voor onszelf. U kunt met onze gids een ontspannen wandeling door de straten maken of in uw eigen tempo het kartuizerklooster en het beroemde huis van componist Chopin bezoeken (toegangen zijn niet bij de prijs inbegrepen).
U krijgt de gelegenheid om het koninklijke kartuizerklooster te zien, ooit een koninklijk paleis en het huis van de kartuizermonnikenbroederschap. (Entree niet inbegrepen in de prijs) Het kartuizerklooster van Valldemossa, in het Mallorcaanse "la Cartoixa de Valldemossa", is in de loop van de tijd voor verschillende doeleinden gebruikt. Aanvankelijk was het de residentie van koning Sancho I van Mallorca en later werd het de voormalige koninklijke residentie en uiteindelijk het Royal Charterhouse.
Dit is de geboorteplaats van Catalina Thomàs, de meest vereerde heilige op het eiland bekend als "La Beateta", die in de 16e eeuw in Valldemossa werd geboren. In haar huis, dat nu is omgebouwd tot kapel, bevindt zich een tegel bij de ingang die een scène uit het leven van de eerste heilige van Mallorca voorstelt.
We zijn nu met onze gids in het centrum van Palma de Mallorca aangekomen en het is tijd om te genieten van een ontspannen wandeling naar het 'monumentale gebied' waar veel van de bezienswaardigheden van de stad te zien zijn. We beginnen met een panoramische tour langs de jachthaven van Palma, waarbij we genieten van het schitterende uitzicht op de drukke haven van Palma.
Stop voor foto's buiten de kathedraal van Palma (La Seu) en hoor hoe de rooms-katholieke gebedsplaats werd gebouwd op de plaats van een oude Arabische moskee. Ga vervolgens naar binnen om de ronde glas-in-loodramen en door Gaudi ontworpen kenmerken te bewonderen. De kleurrijke en vaak controversiële modernistische kunstenaar heeft zijn stempel gedrukt op de site en zijn opvallende altaarstuk wordt beschouwd als het hoogtepunt van de kathedraal.
U komt langs en kunt de schoonheid bewonderen van het Koninklijk Paleis van La Almudaina, dat dateert uit de 14e eeuw. Het is de officiële residentie van Hunne Majesteiten de Koning en de Koningin tijdens hun verblijf op Mallorca. Samen met de kathedraal van Palma vormen ze een herkenningspunt van de hoofdstad van de Balearen. Een paleis dat de artistieke stijlen weerspiegelt die elkaar in de geschiedenis van het eiland hebben gevolgd.
Terwijl u door de prachtige oude binnenstad van Palma slentert, komt u de Ayuntamiento de Palma tegen, gelegen aan de Plaza de Cort van Palma. Het werd tussen 1649 en 1680 gebouwd door de architecten Pere Bauçá, Miquel Oliver en Bartomeu Calafat. Enkele van de meest opvallende elementen op de gevel zijn het balkon met zeven grote ramen, de Rellotge d'en Figuera (Figuera-klok) en de Banc del si no fos (Bank of als je het niet mist). Het gebouw zelf werd bij decreet van 3 juni 1931 uitgeroepen tot historisch-artistiek monument.
Terwijl u geniet van het adembenemende uitzicht op de oude binnenstad van Palma en de historische architectuur, moet u de olijfboom van Cort in de gaten houden! Deze unieke boom, bekend als de Olivera de Cort, werd in 1999 geplant in het Tramuntana-gebergte, als een symbool van vrede en geworteldheid in het land. Midden op het plein, recht voor het gemeentehuis, staat de Cort Olive Tree. Ondanks de verhuizing en zijn leeftijd blijft hij elk jaar zijn vruchten afwerpen.

Wij halen u op en zetten u af bij uw cruiseschip of, als u in een hotel verblijft, bij uw hotel of bij een ophaalpunt in de buurt. Voor gasten die in Port de Sóller verblijven, kan op verzoek privéophaalservice worden geregeld. Houd er rekening mee dat de tarieven voor privétours zijn gebaseerd op vertrek vanuit Palma City of de cruiseterminal van Palma. Vanwege de extra benodigde afstand en transfertijd geldt een toeslag van € 125 voor Collecties in Port de Sóller. Zodra u de boeking heeft gemaakt, sturen wij u eerst een e-mail met de boekingsgegevens, en vervolgens een tweede e-mail ter bevestiging van de vertrektijd en het vertrekpunt.

Peter was an amazing guide, extremely knowledgeable and fun to spend the day with. My mother was a little impaired in how much she could walk and Peter took that into account and pointed out places she could sit and enjoy a coffee or lite bite while we walked all over.

Very nice car. A driver and a separate guide was probably not necessary. Beautiful island. We took the train back to Palma, it was a very nice ride. If it wasn't so expensive was probably 4 stars.

Regarding the guide, Camy is a fully licensed official guide accredited by the Balearic Tourism Authorities and conducts tours in English every week. Over the years she has received hundreds of excellent reviews from English-speaking clients praising both her knowledge and communication skills. While we understand that accents and speaking styles can be perceived differently by different people, your comment is certainly not representative of the feedback we normally receive. As for having both a driver and a guide, this is not an unnecessary luxury but a deliberate choice to provide a higher-quality service. Mallorca's roads, traffic and parking conditions require the driver's full attention. At the same time, the guide is there to explain the history and culture of the places visited, organise the itinerary, assist guests and ensure everything runs smoothly. Expecting one person to safely drive while simultaneously guiding a private tour would not be realistic and certainly would not improve the experience. Finally, private tours are naturally more expensive than shared excursions because the vehicle, guide and driver are dedicated exclusively to your party. Even so, our private tours are typically around 20–25% less expensive than comparable private excursions offered by many other companies in Mallorca. We had a wonderful day touring Valldemossa and Palma with Peter. He went above and beyond to help us—our daughter had dropped her cell phone a couple of days earlier in Naples, and he kindly assisted us in finding a store to try to repair her screen. After exploring the charming streets and visiting the beautiful cathedral in Palma, we traveled in a very comfortable Mercedes Sprinter van to the picturesque village of Valldemossa. We enjoyed some free time to explore and had lunch at the most charming little tapas restaurant, dining outside under a big shade tree. Peter was incredibly kind, professional, and accommodating to our group, making the day both relaxing and memorable. We truly enjoyed our time with him and would highly recommend his tour.

Communication was great leading up to excursion. Our private van was very nice and driver was excellent. Our guide was very knowledgeable and looked for our feedback on what we wanted to see and do. He did an excellent job navigating away from crowds and we highly recommend Luis as a guide. Very pleased!
