Van het kasteel van Osaka tot de legendarische Takoyaki in het Dotonbori-district en de retrovibes van het Shinsekai-district met zijn beroemde gigantische kogelvislantaarn, de vele dynamische bezienswaardigheden van Osaka zullen je betoveren. Hongerig? De keuken van Japan, Osaka, verleidt je maar al te graag met zijn vele lokale gerechten. Boek een tour bij ons om de beste plekken te vinden om okonomiyaki te eten! We maken een wandeling door de Dotonbori-straat met zijn enorme reclameborden, honderden restaurants en eetstalletjes met lokaal voedsel, waaronder de beroemde Takoyaki en Okonomiyaki.
Shinsaibashi-suji Shopping Street is een must-visit in Osaka. Deze gigantische winkelgalerij van cosmeticawinkels, kledingwinkels en restaurants strekt zich 600 meter uit. Lees deze gedetailleerde gids om meer te weten te komen over deze levendige wijk in Osaka en hoe u het gebied kunt bereiken!
Osaka Castle is zonder twijfel een van de beroemdste bezienswaardigheden in Japan. Dit vijf verdiepingen tellende kasteel is een van de meest visueel spectaculaire creaties in het land, met een geschiedenis die bijna 450 jaar teruggaat!
De bekendste vissen op Kuromon Market zijn de conger snoek in de zomer en Fugu in de winter. Minstens 10% van de viswinkel in Kuromon is gespecialiseerd in Fugu en Hamo. Een levendige en overdekte markt die zich uitstrekt over ongeveer 580m, zijn er ongeveer 150 winkels en is altijd bruist van de mensen. Deze markt heeft alles wat je wilt. Van verse zeevruchten, blaasvis en schildpaddenspeciaalzaken met zachte schelpen, tot restaurants, groente- en fruitwinkels, slagers, ingemaakte waren, gedroogd voedsel, Japanse zoetigheden en westerse taarten.
Sumiyoshi-taisha, ook bekend als Sumiyoshi Grand Shrine, is een Shinto-schrijn in Sumiyoshi-ku, Osaka, prefectuur Osaka, Japan. Het is het belangrijkste heiligdom van alle Sumiyoshi-heiligdommen in Japan. Het oudste heiligdom dat de Sumiyoshi sanjin, de drie Sumiyoshi kami, herbergt, is echter het Sumiyoshi-heiligdom in Hakata.
Shitennō-ji is een boeddhistische tempel in Ōsaka, Japan. Het is ook bekend als Arahaka-ji, Nanba-ji of Mitsu-ji.
Het Umeda Sky Building (梅田スカイビル) is een spectaculair hoogbouwgebouw in de wijk Kita in Osaka, nabij de stations Osaka en Umeda. Het staat ook bekend als de "Nieuwe Umeda Stad". Het 173 meter hoge gebouw bestaat uit twee torens die met elkaar verbonden zijn door het "Floating Garden Observatory" op de 39e verdieping. Het observatorium biedt een prachtig uitzicht over de stad door de ramen en vanaf het openluchtdek. In de kelder is er een restaurantvloer die een stad uit de vroege Showa-periode nabootst, terwijl kantoren de meeste andere verdiepingen bezetten.
Shinsekai, de nieuwe wereld, met zijn Tsutenkaku, de Osaka Eiffeltoren, Kushikatsu en Billiken, de God van rijkdom en geld. Shinsekai is ook de thuisbasis van Spa World, een enorm badcomplex met een groot aantal zwembaden op een Europese themavloer en een vloer met Aziatische thema's (naakt en geslacht gescheiden).
Het Nationaal Kunstmuseum, Osaka (ook bekend als NMAO) is een ondergronds museum met een grote kunstcollectie op het eiland Nakanoshima in het centrum van Osaka.
Een 150 meter lange winkelstraat omzoomd met speciaalzaken met elk kookgerei en keuken item beschikbaar. Het Doguyasuji Festival op 9 oktober (Tool Day) is een evenement waar verschillende tools te koop zijn, en waar ook de Garapon Loterij wordt gehouden. Daarnaast kunt u deelnemen aan hands-on food sample making en glas-etsen ervaringen, evenals een steeds groter aantal ambachtelijke restaurants.

Our tour guide Yama-San and our driver were both wonderful! Our tour guide was very pleasant, knew alot, and we highly recommend him! There were two people in our group in their late 80’s, and they were so accommodating and helped us find an itinerary that worked for us. Yama-San had so many wonderful stories and we really enjoyed learning about the castle and the shrine, and he was wonderful about taking pictures. It was really lovely to have so many candid photos after the trip, absolutely give our highest rating! Our first trip to Japan started off perfectly with this tour!

HORRIBLE is how I described this experience to my family. The guide, Yuki, was nice but she did not speak or understand English so we didn’t learn anything and had to cut short the tour. Very disappointed with j.g.a and this tour.

We had a tour with Mrs. Yuki. After the reservation she contacted and introduced herself. A few days before the trip, she sent us an exact itinerary with the note that it is changeable if we want to change anything else. Since she has planned a short lunch break, she has asked if we have any food allergies. We met at the train station in Osaka and she showed and explained the city, the main points and sights. She brought us closer to the historical background and also told us anecdotes. We ate the regional okonomijaki in Osaka. It was a very interesting viewing and experience. Shitennoji Temple was the week of the equinox, so there were a lot of flea markets and you were able to buy some nice souvenirs. This private tour in Osaka was at the end of our trip in Japan and after 2 weeks all over the country our guide had to be very creative impresing us with something special. Yama’san was great…. Humorous, informative, and flexible to our wants and needs. Venturing on an entire 1/2 day foot tour allowed us to experience the sights, sounds, aromas, and foot traffic of Osaka in addition to history and landmarks.
