Mayfield Falls is een eco-toeristische attractie centraal gelegen in de parochie van Westmoreland, Jamaica. Het bestaat uit 2 prachtige watervallen, 21 natuurlijke zwembaden, 52 soorten varens en veel exotische bloemen, plantensoorten, vogels, vlinders en wilde dieren afkomstig uit Jamaica. Mayfield Falls is behoorlijk kalm. Je zult hier niet een aantal van de grote watervallen vinden die je elders op het eiland zou vinden, maar dit is echt een leuk uitje voor de dag. Houd er natuurlijk rekening mee dat de stroming varieert, afhankelijk van de hoeveelheid neerslag in het gebied. Meestal is het water hier niet zo krachtig. Bij Mayfield Falls voel je je alsof je in een jungle bent - overal zijn weelderige planten. Het terrein is onberispelijk en zeer goed onderhouden. Deze plek is erg rustig en echt de natuur op zijn best. Je bent volledig omringd door schoonheid en je voelt je echt één met de natuur. Dingen om op te merken: De stenen zijn glad dus je moet zeker waterschoenen dragen. Voor degenen die zich zorgen maken over zonnebrand - maak je hier geen zorgen, want er is veel schaduw. Het niveau van lichamelijke activiteit wordt hier als gemiddeld beschouwd. Je loopt ongeveer een uur door het water. Veel niet-atletische mensen komen er prima doorheen, dus laat dit je niet afschrikken. Mayfield heeft geweldige gidsen daar om iedereen te helpen die het nodig heeft. Our driver was amazing and so patient! He was knowledgeable about the areas and is a skilled driver !!
The whole experience from beginning to end was amazing. Demar was so nice and patient with us as a driver. The waterfall water was cold but beautiful. I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Negril
This is a must do! We had so much fun! Our private tour guides were awesome. Also we were picked up from our hotel and enjoyed a relaxing ride there and back. I can’t say enough, they made us feel comfortable and welcomed! Our driver was our personal tour guide to Mayfield Falls and our guides at MF showed us all the incredible sights at the falls. This tour was exceptional, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Our tour guide was great. The falls is beautiful, crystal clear, nice and cool. We even stopped to rub clay on ourselves to exfoliate and our skins felt great days later. We swam through the underwater cave and that was the main highlight of the this trip, I’ve always wanted to experience.

Had so much fun at the falls. Was in a group of roughly 8 adults, guides were great and looked after my partner and I who aren't strong swimmers. There isn't a 'big' waterfall here like Dunns, or Ochi Blue Hole BUT the hiking route through these smaller falls was still challenging & fun. I also really enjoyed the drive up there, a lot of beautiful mountain scenery. The lunch provided was also great quality, authentic Jamaican food with a choice of chicken, fish or veggie curry.

This trip was really nice. Andre was very sweet and answered all our questions about Jamaica during our drive to the destination. And he stopped to negotiate coconuts for us at the side of the road. On our way back he also spontaneously took us to a local supermarket when we expressed a wish to go there, because we were curious. The Falls themselves are an ok destination, a bit tourist-y for our taste. It was not overrun with people but still a bit crowded. One word of advise: if you are a bit sporty don’t take a guide. They are optional and you don’t have to take them. If you’re used to hiking and finding your way on your own you’ll be fine. We didn’t know that and felt kind of ripped off by the local guide at the falls who led us up the river / the falls. The trip was still worth it, because the waters are refreshing and the scenery beautiful. Also because the actual drive there was very relaxing and interesting because of Andre’s explanations. Would definitely recommend Road Travel Jamaica as an operator.
