Je Jeep en reisleider uit het Amerikaanse leger 4x4 ontmoeten je in het hotel en begeleiden je tijdens een 1,5 uur durende jeeptocht om het verbazingwekkende netwerk van de communistische guerrillatunnels in Cu Chi te zien. Het tunnelnetwerk strekt zich uit over 250 km en strekt zich uit tot drie niveaus onder de grond, waardoor je een opmerkelijk inzicht hebt in de ontberingen, moed, vastberadenheid en terreur van een guerrillaoorlog. Tijdens deze excursie zijn veel bezienswaardigheden te zien, waaronder de ingenieuze valstrikken, demonstraties over hoe hun wapens en bommen zijn gemaakt, ondergrondse keukens en een korte propaganda-video geproduceerd in 1969. Bovendien kun je zelfs een kort stukje van de tunnels en vuur verkennen een AK47 (op eigen risico en kosten) als u moedig bent!

This unique and private jeep tour is worth every penny. While there are many Cu Chi Tunnels tours out there, this one detail sets itself apart. The jeep was clean, well-maintained, and so much fun to ride even in the heat! As it was a private tour, we got picked up at (and dropped off) at our hotel on time, so it was incredibly convenient. No need to wait for other people. Ultimately, we have to hand it to our guide Vin, who is friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and has amazing photography skills! He answered every question and shared insightful details into Vietnam's politics, economy, and cultural landscape. He adapted to our preferences and took fun and flattering photos of me and my husband which he shared through Whatsapp. The tour has a final stop at a lacquerware workshop that provides vocational support to people affected by agent orange, a thoughtful additional to the itinerary. We bought a couple of pretty things from here. (You should too!) If you have the budget for it, this is the quintessential way to experience the Cu Chi Tunnels. Note: While the Cu Chi Tunnels gift shop, firing range, and lacquerware workshop accept major cards, do bring cash for tips and other gratuities.

From the moment we got picked up in our private Jeeps we knew we had made the right decision booking this tour. Jimmy was our guide who was very knowledgeable and could answer any questions he also spoke great English. Having a private guide to only 4 of us was such an advantage. The drivers were safe and so much to see on the way. Would highly recommend this tour. The shooting range at the end of the tour was an added bonus
