Tijdens deze tour van een halve dag leer je veel over de fascinerende geschiedenis van Zuid-Afrika tijdens een stadservaring in Pretoria. Pretoria is de hoofdstad van Zuid-Afrika en staat daarom vol met historische bezienswaardigheden.
Een belangrijke attractie tijdens deze tour is het Voortrekker Monument. Dit monument is van grote betekenis voor veel Afrikaans sprekende Zuid-Afrikanen, daar staat het voor Afrikaner Nationalisme. Het monument heeft de vorm van een grote stenen kubus. De binnenmuren verbeelden het verhaal van de Grote Trek, een massabeweging van Afrikaanse Boeren die een hekel hadden aan de Britse overheersing.
Pretoria heeft karakter in zijn gebouwen en tijdens deze stadsarchitectuurtour krijgt u ruimschoots de gelegenheid om uw gids te vragen naar de geschiedenis achter de gebouwen en cultuur. We bezoeken het Kerkplein met prominente gebouwen als de Ou Raadsaal, het Justitiepaleis en het Kapitaaltheater.

I had a wonderful tour of the city of Pretoria with my tour guide Cypo. He was pleasant. He arrived on time and was a great driver. He was very knowledgeable about the history of South Africa and about the sites in Pretoria. During my tour, I visited places like Paul Kruger‘s home, the Voortrekker monument, the Church Square, and other government monuments. I would definitely recommend this tour to my friends and family.

Excellent first introduction to the history of South Africa, and although the tour was focused on the history of the Boers, our guide (Lebo) explained this in the context of other prominent groups at the time.
Loved this tour. Our guide was really informative and friendly. Seeing the old and new processing plants and the Big Hole, where the famous Culinan Diamond was found was amazing. Whilst mining isn’t the most eco friendly of activities, approx 80% of the diamonds found are for industry, so are key. They are also able to reprocess 1000’s tonnes of previously mined earth which modern technology can extract mostly industrial diamonds from. The visit to the shop after the tour was also extremely informative. Highly recommend this tour.

Very informative tour! Lebo was an excellent guide, very welcoming and willing to answer any question. You learn so much about how Pretoria came to be. There is so much knowledge to absorb about the country of South Africa and the city of Pretoria and he did an excellent job. Definitely recommend, especially if you get Lebo!
It was an incredible expérience ! Visiting the diamand'mines was huge. The guide gave us lot of explications about the process. I appreciate it. And then we went to Pretoria. That was fabulous. The history of the buildings, all the symbols, the dialects, the guide Timoke broke down everythings. We have switched from surprises to surprises. My head is full of history thank you Azalé and thank you Timoke.
