Alberobello, de beroemde hoofdstad van de trulli, werd een UNESCO-erfgoed voor het buitengewone voorbeeld van droogbouw. Deze rondleiding geeft u de mogelijkheid om de oorsprong en evolutie van Alberobello en zijn trulli te ontdekken. Het is de ideale tour voor degenen die willen genieten van de stad zonder haast, kunt u de tijd nemen om Alberobello te verkennen met een privé tour en in het gezelschap van een toeristische gids alleen voor u. Dulcis in de bodem, de proeverij van extra-oude olijfolie geproduceerd ter plaatse, van zoete en gezouten tinten...

Tijdens deze privétour ontdekt u de wijk Aia Piccola, een woonwijk met trulli, waar u nog steeds de sfeer van vervlogen tijden kunt opsnuiven. U stopt bij het Belvedere, waar u het sprookjesachtige landschap kunt bewonderen. Vervolgens gaat u naar de nieuwe stad, waar u de Basilica dei Santi Medici bezoekt en meer te weten komt over de verering van de beschermheiligen. We bezoeken de Trullo Sovrano, een imposante trullo met twee verdiepingen, waarin een interessant museum over de tradities van Apulië is gevestigd. De tour eindigt in het toeristische gebied Rione Monti, dat gekenmerkt wordt door winkels en restaurants gelegen in de trulli. Hier zien we de kerk van Sant'Antonio, een bijzondere kerk in de vorm van een trullo. Tot slot kunt u in een winkel producten uit Puglia proeven: extra vierge olijfolie, zoete en hartige taralli... De tour is privé, maar eventuele wijzigingen moeten vooraf met de gids worden besproken en eventuele vertragingen moeten vooraf worden doorgegeven. Er is ook een kortere tour van 1,5 uur beschikbaar

This was our third walking tour with Valeria in the Apulia region. She is a fantastic guide - we learned a lot about the trullo houses and culture and history of this UNESCO heritage city. The tour ended with an informative olive oil tasting - we were so impressed with the products we had a big order shipped home. Valeria was very kind to adjust the length of the tour to accommodate my slow pace (as I had hurt my left foot earlier in our trip). So once again, we highly recommend this walking tour with Valeria!!

Our guide, Valeria, really knew the history and stories of the village. It would have been difficult to understand Alberobello without a guide. The village is very popular with tourists and therefore crowded, but Valeria navigated around to avoid some of the chaos. The olive oil tasting was a nice stop, as part of our tour, and the young lady at the shop gave us a fun education in the various types of olive oils. Very nice tour.

Our guide in Arberobello (Cosima) was very kind and easy to follow. She shared many fascinating and authentic stories that only locals know. The testing of olive oil and balsamic vinegar in a small shop was both educational and memorable. From now on, we will always remember the true taste of real extra virgin olive oil.
