We ontmoeten bij de hoofdingang van de westerse tempelgroep en zullen onze dag waarschijnlijk beginnen met een aantal positieve gedachten, goede vibes en dan beginnen we aan onze speciale ervaring om de stad te verkennen en de Matangeswara Mahadev-tempel te bezoeken, een van de actieve tempel van de stad die is gewijd aan Lord Shiva
Na het bezoek aan de Matangeswara-tempel, loop je naar de westelijke tempelgroep die de belangrijkste tempellocatie van de stad is, een groep van 11 tempels. En het is een werelderfgoed UNESCO-site: hier zullen de architectuur, geschiedenis en veel onbekende feiten van de Indiase cultuur en traditie worden verkend. Deze tempels zijn heel anders dan alle andere tempels vanuit spiritueel oogpunt. De meest populaire zijn "Laxmana-tempel" "Kandariya Mahadev tempel" beste architectuurvoorbeeld van zijn soort "Devi Jagadamba-tempel" "Chirtagupta-tempel" "Vishwanath Temple" enz ...
Na het bezoek van de westerse tempelgroep gaan we de Adinath-tempel bezoeken, een prachtige Jain-tempel, hier zullen we de Jain-religieuze sites verkennen De belangrijkste tempels hier zijn: Adinath-tempel, Shantinath-tempel, Parsvanath-tempel,
Na het bezoek aan tempels aan het einde van de tour zullen we het oude dorp Khajuraho bezoeken, hier zullen we het oudste deel van de stad verkennen terwijl we in contact komen met de lokale bevolking om de cultuur en levensstijl van de lokale bevolking te leren kennen. Ik wil mensen het andere deel van het prachtige land dat India is, laten zien: de echte cultuur, het lokale leven, de pittoreske dorpjes en het landschap. Op deze manier zullen mensen India niet alleen in zijn puurste vorm ervaren, maar ook gemakkelijk begrijpen en ontdekken wat er achter de prachtige monumenten en tempels schuilgaat en ze niet alleen 'zien'. Ik denk dat monumenten goede gelegenheden zijn om de kunst te waarderen en de geschiedenis te leren kennen, maar volgens mij zijn de Indiase manier van leven en de lokale dorpen en mensen ook goede kansen om de cultuur en het land te leren kennen.

Ophaallocaties en -tijden
Als de ophaallocatie niet ver van de ontmoetingsplaats ligt, vindt de ophaalservice 30 minuten voordat de tour begint plaats. Als alternatief kan de reiziger rechtstreeks contact met mij opnemen om het ophalen te regelen.

Our time in Khajuraho was made truly special thanks to our incredible guide, Anoop Kumar. He is an authorized PAN INDIA tour guide and history expert, has a great sense of humor and was an amazing host. His knowledge of the Eastern Group’s Jain temples is unmatched. Anoop took the time to point out breathtaking artistic details and share the deep history of the sites. He is a fantastic storyteller and kept us laughing with funny anecdotes throughout the day. What really set Anoop apart, though, was how he went completely above and beyond for us outside the standard tour. He personally escorted us to the famous annual classical Indian dance festival held against the backdrop of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed monuments. He even made a special, separate trip just to source unique local incense for us to take home. Anoop is knowledgeable, congenial and genuinely invested in his guests having the best possible trip. Rishi, our personal guide is a knowledgeable, unblemished . He explained us regarding each temple, its art and its history. I was very impressed about his knowledge. I do highly recommend him for the guide.
My guide was Ankit, amazing his command of English and Spanish to give me the tour, with a lot of information about the temples, culture and always with a right answer for everything you asked, very friendly and a good deal, even fulfilled a request that I found very difficult to realize but knew how to handle it perfectly. A 10/10
We had a wonderful experience with our guide, Shupla. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of the temples and Hinduism. He provided many interesting anecdotes and also clearly has a deep appreciation for the artwork of these ancient sites. Highly recommend this tour!

Had a great day touring with Ankit Chandel. He is like talking to a long time friend, yet very knowledgable about the stories behind the temples. He would go the extra mile to make sure I had no issue checking in with the hotel. And I absolutely recommend getting a tour guide for the tour, as many stories and hidden details could only be better appreciated with a great guide. I enjoyed his tour so much that I also booked a second tour with him to see the tiger reserve.

I really enjoyed this tour and was so lucky to do it with Rishi . It was so interesting to get all the informations, détails about the temples themselves as monuments, the way they were build, when and why, but he also knows how to share his knowledge and understanding on human faith, the roots of budhism, jainist, tantra, hindus, …and clearly explained the différences and believes….so interesting ! The « plus » was the old town tour, discovering the little streets, colourful houses, and listening the stories and way of living in this area where he grew up with his Family. I highly recommend him ! Gislen
This was a truly amazing tour. Ankit blew us away with his mastery of the stories and his knowledge behind all of the carvings around Khajuraho. It is a really beautiful place off the beaten track that I thoroughly recommend getting a guide for to bring the place to life even more.
I wanted to give this tour 5 stars because the beginning of it was great. We learned so much about the history of the temples and about different religions of the country. Khajuraho had always been on my bucket list and the visit to the temples did not disappoint. However, although we had paid for a tour guide, he continued to leave us throughout the tour with other people who would walk along side us, take pictures and expect a tip afterwards. Further along in the tour, as we walked through the village, we were continuing to stop and interact with people. After each encounter, our guide kept pushing me to give tip money. By that point I only had enough cash to tip the driver and guide. When I refused to, our guide actually scolded me. It nearly ruined the entire experience. Please stop pressuring tourist to hand out money.
