We rijden naar huis via landbouwgrond, waaronder zuivel, vee en schapen en gewassen.
Een van de beste manieren om de 12 apostelen en de nabijgelegen rotsformaties te zien, is per vliegtuig. De 12 Apostles Helicopter Company is een lokale instelling met een perfecte staat van dienst op het gebied van veiligheid. Ze bieden een aantal verschillende vluchtduur met professionele gekwalificeerde piloten. We raden je aan om onze 'Extended 14 uur Tour' te kiezen als je een pleziervlucht wilt opnemen, omdat je mogelijk extra tijd nodig hebt voor het pre-boekingsproces en voor de vlucht zelf. Alle joy-vluchten zijn tegen extra kosten en kunnen op de dag worden geboekt via uw gids (vooraf reserveren is niet nodig).
Dit is onze laatste stop. Niet zo bekend als de 12 apostelen, maar even indrukwekkend. Je krijgt ook de kans om naar het strand te lopen en het verhaal te horen van het beroemde scheepswrak in de nabijgelegen Loch Ard Gorge

We halen 's ochtends om 07.00 uur op van de meeste CBD, Southbank en Docklands Hotels/Accommodaties. als je buiten dit gebied verblijft, moet je op eigen gelegenheid naar ons Generic Pick-up Point - 100 Lorimer Street, Docklands, VIC 3008. Opmerking: sommige hotels vereisen een iets eerdere ophaaltijd van 06:45 uur. We zullen de dag voor uw rondleiding uw exacte ophaaltijd en locatie opnieuw bevestigen. Breng ons ten minste 24 uur voor de tourdatum op de hoogte van uw accommodatie. Om uw chauffeur in drukke stadscentra te helpen, moet u 5 minuten voor de aangegeven ophaaltijd buiten uw ophaallocatie klaarstaan.

James was a great tour guide giving us all the highlights and being very responsive to what was important to us. (Seeing the wildlife). We hit all the great spots before the tour buses and got great commentary and photos with no crowds. James was easy to be with the entire day and a great conversationalist. Highly recommend him for this tour.
James was fabulous and informative start to finish!! He picked us up in his clean, spacious and comfortable minivan from Melbourne CBD. We left at 6:30am to avoid the crowds at all the main stops!! He knew all the great places for food, coffee and clean bathrooms! James gave us great commentary at each stop filled with history and experiences. Highly recommend James!!

I highly recommend doing a private tour and James was the perfect tour guide. He catered the trip to make sure my son would enjoy it and we had a blast. From Bells Beach, wild Kangaroos, waterfalls and chocolate factory, the trip hit all the high points and we had a great trip.

James contacted me well in advance of the tour and provided thoughtful and detailed plans for the day. Sometimes when I book a trip online, I don’t hear much until the day before which makes me a bit nervous about the booking. Excellent communication goes a long way. Highly recommend!

Booking process was easy. The cancellation policy was more flexible than others and we didn't have to pay for the whole tour upfront, which is reassuring in these funny times of post covid travel. Tour was A1. We had a great time thanks.

Yes, we have changed our cancellation policy in recent months to offer FREE cancelation on tours if cancelled at least 14 days in advance. And our current covid policy is that in the case of a Government declared lockdown and/or last minute flight cancellations due to imposed local or international COVID-19 restrictions, an alternative rescheduling date will be offered OR a full refund will be provided. And...... on top of that you only need to commit to 25% deposit of the tour cost to secure the dates you want. This was our second time along the Great Ocean Road, so we were looking for a tour that could perhaps show us something a little different from what we had seen before. I spent quite some time trying to find a company that could be flexible with our request. Most just seemed to only want to offer the exact same itinerary we had done before and were not forthcoming about an alternative itinerary. But Ocean Road Tours were the only ones who seemed to actually listen to what WE wanted. Stuart offered us great service from the get-go (via phone & email) suggesting different alternatives and some new and interesting places we could visit. When the day of the tour finally came, James picked us up, which made me slightly nervous, as I had made all the tour amendments directly with Stuart, so wasn’t sure if this message had even been passed on. But i shouldn’t have worried. James was an easy going guy to spend the day with and he hit all the points of interest that I had discussed previously with Stuart (I sneakily checked as we went along!). He was an exceptional guide with an incredible depth of local knowledge, and picked us up bang on time in a very clean and comfortable car. If you don’t visit the Great Ocean Road, then you are missing out. However you get there, just make sure you get there - you won’t be disappointed!

My wife and I took this private tour, as we didn't really fancy hiring a car (the availability of available cars was poor/pricey and the cost of fuel was equally as CRAZY!). Just a brilliant experience, done at our own pace. 100% recommend this tour to anyone who wants the stress to be taken out of seeing the road and essentially spend the day with a local who actually knows the best places to see.

This was a great experience and probably the highlight of our visit to Australia. Thanks James for making the day so memorable for us. We took this tour as part of a recent 2 week trip in Melbourne. Our guide was charming, prompt and professional. The car was very comfy. A private tour allowed us to hang around some locations that impressed us and allowed us to move on quickly from one’s that didn’t (although there wasn’t too many of the latter). My only advice would be to choose their 14 hour tour instead of the 11 hour tour that we went for, as you will get to see more things along the way.
Thanks Chris, Yes I think a lot of people are surprised at how far the Great Ocean Road is from Melbourne (about 80 minutes before you even reach the start!) as well as how many sights there are to see along the way. So yes, in an ideal world, 14 hour is preferable - but it just depends on how much time you have at your disposal. So glad you enjoyed the tour!
Tour matches their listing. Early start means sunrise over Bells Beach! Small group means less queuing for look outs, lunch and amenities. Also, easy 'hearing' in the small bus. Alot of Victoria is covered so really, you're getting a huge tour!
