De badplaats Vung Tau staat bekend om zijn Frans-koloniale architectuur en prachtige tempels. Geniet van alle hoogtepunten terwijl u in de haven van Phu My bent tijdens deze excursie aan wal, inclusief de Niet Ban Tinh Xa-pagode, de Thich Ca Phat Dai-pagode en de Nirvana-meditatieretraite.

Je wordt opgehaald bij de haven en vertrekt naar het strand van Vung Tau, waar je kunt ontspannen en genieten van wat plezier onder de zon.
Bach Dinh, of het Witte Paleis van de stad Vung Tau, bevindt zich op Tran Phu Street 4, op de helling van Big Mountain. White Palace ligt 50 meter boven de zeespiegel en heeft zijn Franse naam: La Villa Blanche.
Het 32 meter hoge Jezusbeeld dat bovenop een kleine berg staat met uitzicht op de zee (The Nui Nho). Vanuit alle richtingen van de stad kun je het standbeeld van Christus de Koning, een van de belangrijke symbolen van Vung Tau, zien. Maar het beste is nog steeds naar de top van Little Mountain klimmen en het standbeeld bewonderen. Beklim vervolgens het observatorium in het standbeeld en bekijk het panorama van de stad en de omliggende zee.
Thich Ca Phat Dai (Platform van Shakyamuni Boeddha) is een opmerkelijke boeddhistische Theravada-tempel in de kuststad Vung Tau in het zuiden van Vietnam. Het ligt ten noordwesten van de Lon-berg en werd gebouwd tussen 1961 en 1963 toen het werd geopend. Het ligt op een perceel van ongeveer vijf hectare, met een zenboeddhistisch klooster aan de voet van het perceel en de Thích Ca Phật Đài bovenaan.
Gelegen aan de rechterkant van de heilige tempel van Thang Tam, werd de Walvistombe gebouwd op hetzelfde moment als de Tempel van de Vijf Eliments aan het einde van de 19e eeuw. De tombe toont momenteel een enorm skelet van een walvis dat meer dan honderd jaar geleden door de lokale vissers is verzameld.

I had an awesome time on this tour with guide Hillbilly Jack and driver Mr. Anh. I was promptly met at the cruise port and we drove to the beautiful seaside town of Vung Tao. Jack was very knowledgeable about the history and culture of Vietnam and I got so much excellent information. He’s also got a great sense of humor which added to the fun. We visited pagodas, temples, a monastery and a fish market. We also had some delicious local food. Mr. Anh is a skilled driver and safely navigated the cars and scooters. If you book this tour you’ll be guaranteed a fun and educational day.

We had excellent service from the moment that we booked our tour as we got the confirmation quickly and acknowledgement of the details that I sent about my mobility issues. I had several WhatsApp messages in the days before our tour to introduce Hillbilly Jack, our tour guide, and to confirm the meeting time and place with photographs of the vehicle and lunch menu. We requested to change one item on the menu and this was done promptly. Jack was waiting at the arranged time and place with the clean and comfortable vehicle. Jack was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about all his country has to offer. He was able to accommodate the changes that we requested as the tour progressed as my mobility issues were causing some problems. The included lunch was delicious and the food was plentiful. Overall, we had a great time. Thank you Jack and your driver.

I cant recommend Jack From Indochine - Người Từ Đông Dương enough! Jack knew, and explained the local history and culture very well. He had a fantastic sense of humour and had us laughing all day, as you can see from his fantastic photos. It was a day I will always remember! If you ever need a tour guide in Vietnam look him up.
