Uw privégids zal u op een vooraf afgesproken tijdstip ontmoeten in uw Kusadasi-hotel of de haven van Kusadasi. De ophaaltijd wordt vermeld tijdens de bevestiging van uw boeking.
Na de begroeting hebben we een rit van 20 minuten naar het Efeze-gebied om een van de belangrijkste hoogtepunten in Turkije te bezoeken. Efeze, een van de 12 steden van de Ionische Liga (een oud Grieks district aan de westkust van Klein-Azië) ligt in de buurt van Izmir. Als havenstad was het een belangrijk vertrekpunt voor handelsroutes naar Klein-Azië. Wandel door de geschiedenis langs marmeren straten met prachtige openbare gebouwen. Onder hen zijn de Thermen van Scholastica en de Bibliotheek van Celsus (het werd in het begin van de 2e eeuw na Christus gebouwd door Gaius Julius Aquila als een gedenkteken voor zijn vader Gaius Julius Celsus Polemanus, de proconsul van de provincie Azië). De Tempel van Hadrianus en het Grand Theatre zijn twee van de meest indrukwekkende gebouwen in Efeze. Het Grand Theatre werd gebouwd in de 3e eeuw voor Christus en werd later uitgebreid tot 24.000 toeschouwers door de Romeinen in de 1e eeuw na Christus.
Lunchtijd: we hebben een heerlijke Turkse kebap en mezes met salade inclusief frisdrank.
Vervolgens gaan we naar onze volgende stop Miletus, een oude stad in de buurt van het huidige Akköy aan de monding van de rivier de Buyuk Menderes (meander). Miletus dankte zijn belang aan zijn ligging op de handelsroutes. Het was een van de grootste steden in Anatolië met een bevolking van tussen de 80.000 en 100.000. Zeer welvarend, stichtte het vele kolonies en was het de thuisbasis van de 6 v.Chr. filosofen Anaximander, Anaximenes en Thales, de stadsplanner Hippodamus en architect van de Hagia Sophia, Isidorus. Met een prominente positie werd Miletus de belangrijkste haven in dit gebied en het was het meest actieve lid van de twaalf steden van de Ionische Confederatie. In de 7e eeuw voor Christus belegerden de Lydiërs de stad. De stad werd toen gecontroleerd door Perzen, Romeinse en Seltsjoekse Turken.
Ons laatste bezoek na Miletus is Didyma. Het woord Didyma betekent "tweeling" en het werd door sommigen geassocieerd als de ontmoetingsplaats van Zeus en Leto om hun tweeling Apollo en Artemis te krijgen. Didyma was beroemd als een profetiecentrum gewijd aan Apollo, dat een soortgelijk doel diende als de Delphi van Anatolië. Het was geen stad, maar een heiligdom dat door Milesiërs met Miletus was verbonden via een heilige weg van 19 km/12 mijl.
Na de tour brengen we je terug naar het stadscentrum of de haven van Kusadasi.

Ophaallocaties en -tijden
De vergadertijd in de haven van Kusadasi verschilt per schip. Over het algemeen is de vergadertijd 45 - 60 minuten nadat uw schip is aangekomen. De Kusadasi Port vergadertijd zal worden verzonden via e-mail. Pick-up van Kusadasi Cruise Terminal voor cruise gasten. Voorgestelde ophaaltijd zal worden gegeven op uw bevestigingsbericht.

It was the best tour of our cruise. We previously visited Ephesus- it was also off the cruise. This time it was even better. Our guide Nejdet was a gentleman. We had a very bad experience in Bodrum previous day. He pledged to make Kusadasi visit a delight and he did deliver. We visited two new places - Priene and Miletus. Didyma was not yet open after renovations. The company contacted us in advance and offered this new itinerary. We agreed with not much enthusiasm, but it was wonderful experience. We got to the sites early in the morning and enjoyed walking without crowds. The sites are underrated. Then we headed to Ephesus and saw it with great pleasure in the new afternoon light. On the way Nej arranged a taste of quick Turkish appetizers for us as we were running late. The food and setting was very nice, we were treated as VIPs. Thank you Nej and company!

Worth every penny. Staying at the Pine Bay Hotel and booked this trip while still in UK, I contacted the tour company who accommodated us being picked up from there no problems. We had a mini bus to ourselves as a family of four. Yavuz was our guide, excellent and very knowledgable. Unfortunately Didyma was closed so we changed our schedule for Priene, Ephesus and as it was very hot we did the Ephesus Museum indoors. We stopped for a very nice lunch by request which was fitted in happily after the outdoor sites when we were ready to cool off. We also stopped at the Temple of Artemis for a quick photo of one of the 7 ancient wonders of the world. Would definitely recommend this tour guide for communications, accommodating any changes and excellent knowledge. Also top tip - check Kusasasi Port timetable and choose a day to visit Ephesus when there are no cruise ships or only small ships in port as this will increase the crowds massively if there are big ships in port.
