Very good experience , worth it

As a child i only saw elephants used for collecting food by visiting door to door in Goa. Never saw them eating much. Elefantastic is truly fantastic. No more words to describe this place. Its truly amazing for elephant lovers. The hospitality, home cooked food, cultural entertainment and warmth feeling, truly makes this place worth the visit. From the point of pick up by Praveen(Driver), till the final drop off by Rahul( Owner), just gives you the family feel and well looked after. Elefantastic is very well organised and looks after their guest truly as "atithi devo bhava- the guest is equivalent to God" Every caretaker has truly devoted their lives for these amazing, clever and talented species. Every effort is placed into ensuring the elephants are well fed, have a daily walk, a daily bath and are well rested. We were suprised to see how much these elephants were feed with variety of food throughout the whole day. The elephants are treated with respect and associated with names. We meet Padma, Shaku and Sampa. Each Caretaker Shoyab, Phodaar Uncle and Imran were truly amazing to look after their elephants. Nevertheless, the elephants are not used to generate money by using them for Elephants rides, this initiative by the Owner Rahul, truly spells out the passion and love for these species, carried down from generations to generations.

Elefantastic gives opportunity to have a close contact with an elephant living in shelter. We met a young female elephant Le Muscan who was born in the shelter. She was beautiful and fun, a bit cheeky. We could feed her, watch her bathe in small pond, wash her (my daughter’s favourite), pat and scratch (she enjoyed it, closing her beautiful brown eyes). Le Muscan’s carer Mr. Ayub had a really goid contact with Muscan and he helped all through the visit us - providing food to give to her, preparing water and washing brush etc. Our guide was Mr. Dabbu who explained everything and answered all our questions. The shelter organised pick-up from our hotel and drop-off later. Drinks were offered on site. We loved every moment of our visit.

I want to thank you and Elefantastic and all the staff who have been so kind, available and very helpful during my stay, even with all the challenges I brought being quite sick most of the time. Crucially, we did not see a single elephant in chains or under forced routines—just genuine, compassionate care and hands-on bonding. ​Comfortable Stay & Outstanding Hospitality The tent facilities exceeded all expectations—equipped with great AC, a clean modern bathroom, hot and cold water, and fresh towels and soap. Best of all, there wasn't a single bug or mosquito inside! The food was equally wonderful; upon arrival, we were treated to a delicious home-cooked meal. For dinner, they arranged incredible local folk singers and dancers, making the evening feel truly magical, and breakfast the next morning was just as tasty. ​Jaipur Exploration We also booked a car through them to explore Jaipur. Our driver, Mr. Hanuman, was exceptionally courteous, gave us fantastic recommendations for local food and shopping, and shared rich insights into the city's history along the way. ​Combining true ethical animal care with warm, top-tier Rajasthani hospitality, Elefantastic is an absolute must-visit. Highly recommended!

The experience was really amazing. Our elephant name was Sampa. She was a 38 year old female elephant rescued by the staff. She was really gentle and fun to be with. Each group gets one elephant for the xeperience and no riding is allowed thats something thag stood out with us. Thank you sampa.

We had a wonderful visit with Elephantastic. We fed the elephants, watched them have a mud bath, and then hosed them down. It was up close and personal. Guides were fantastic as well and spoke English clearly. Our family really enjoyed the experience. Recommended!

We loved this experience! It was fun, informative and the sanctuary is very well-run. Shoaib, Phoddar Uncle and Mr. Dabbu were outstanding. I would highly recommend visiting Elefantastic!

**Who is happier? The one who serves another, or the one who receives another’s care?** This question keeps coming back to me. At **Elefantastic**, the unique sanctuary for elephants here in Jaipur, Rajasthan, I had the opportunity to spend more than two hours exploring this question through personal experience and observation. Let me say one thing at the outset: it does not really matter whether, in the end, one or the other is happier. It is simply a question that occupies me personally. Everyone should be free to have their own experience and to find their own answer. At Elefantastic, I had the privilege of meeting a whole group of particularly beautiful people. **Rahul** picked me up at THE LEELA and later drove me back. We had some wonderfully kind and interesting conversations along the way, and I am grateful to have met this warm and beautiful human being. **Mr. Vicky** welcomed me and was my attentive guide at the elephant sanctuary. And then there is **Soyab**, the caretaker of the elephant Padma, whom I was privileged to look after myself for two hours. In Soyab, I met a wonderful, knowledgeable and deeply devoted human being. Caring for one of God’s particularly beautiful creatures — Padma — has become the centre of his life. Day after day, he is there for Padma. He talks to her. He knows her. He accompanies her through life. Soyab makes sure that Padma always has enough to eat — an enormous task that never ends. He takes her for walks. Padma is a slow walker: she takes her time with every single step. And as she walks, she seems completely at peace within herself — happy, content and serene in every respect. Soyab takes her to her mud bath after Padma has first covered herself generously in sand. He cleans her with a powerful stream of water, lets her drink directly from it through her beautiful trunk, and thoroughly massages her large, beautiful body, with all the time and care that such a task deserves. With an elephant of this size, there is, after all, a great deal to brush and massage. Discreetly and efficiently, one of Soyab’s colleagues takes care of Padma’s waste. And so I return to my original question. **Who is happier — the one who cares for another, or the one who is being cared for?** I believe that someone who cares for another out of devotion and inner conviction can experience a **double happiness**. The first is the happiness of doing work that he has chosen for himself — work that is meaningful, worthwhile and good. The second is the happiness of seeing the one for whom he does this work happy and content. A never-ending circle of happiness. I certainly do not mean to suggest that this work is easy. Quite the opposite. It consists of routines that are repeated day after day, again and again. It is demanding, physically exhausting and requires perseverance and great strength. But it is **meaningful. And it is good.** I am deeply grateful to Soyab for allowing me to be his humble assistant for two hours. And I wish the entire team at Elefantastic — and all the elephants who are fortunate enough to live there — God’s blessing, happiness, good health and, from the bottom of my heart, all the very best.

We did the 5 day, Golden Triangle tour through Elefantastic. We explored New Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur. Stayed at the Elefantastic camps for 2 nights and everything was very affordable. Our driver Pappu Ji was very accommodating and knowledgeable sharing bits about each city we travelled to. In addition great tour guides were provided in each city .
