THE Diamond tour bevat nu ook een Pretoria tour. Pretoria City, Voortrekker Monument en Union Buildings. Voor de Diamantmijn. NB. Alleen gesloten schoenen zijn toegestaan zoals sneakers etc. Neem uw paspoort mee. De tour geeft je de mogelijkheid om te leren over Zuid-Afrika tijdens de 1800's en hoe de Nederlands het land van Goud ontdekten. Ik zal je ook mijn ervaringen geven als derde generatie Zuid-Afrikaan. en de transformatie van ons land in de regenboognatie. Een oppervlaktetour door de zeer beroemde diamantmijn, zie waar de diamant van de koningin van Engeland vandaan komt en waar enkele van de grootste diamanten ter wereld worden gevonden. Er is een informatieve presentatie voordat u op de oppervlaktetour gaat die 2 uur duurt. We hebben nu ook Pretoria CBD en Hatfield onze universiteitsstad opgenomen. Shane is de auteur van zijn autobiografie "White Boy".

De Diamantmijn is een geweldige plek waar de grootste diamant ter wereld werd gevonden. De diamant werd vervolgens aan de koningin van Engeland gegeven als cadeau van onze president van Zuid-Afrika Paul Kruger. De Surface-tour is beschikbaar van maandag tot zondag aan R150. Deze tour duurt slechts 2 uur
Het grootste museum op het zuidelijk halfrond en onlangs geüpgraded. Ga met ons mee en we nemen je mee terug naar de eerste blanke kolonisten die een van de rijkste landen ter wereld bouwden. Het museum heeft fantastische voorbeelden van de ossenwagens, uitrusting, artefacten en replica's van de algemene levensstijl. Als je enige interesse hebt in de Zuid-Afrikaanse geschiedenis, is deze tour een must. Je gids heeft uitgebreide kennis van het museum en de residentie en ging naar school in Pretoria. Je ervaart niet alleen het museum, maar wordt door je gids vermaakt in de geschiedenis van Zuid-Afrika
Een kort bezoek van 1 uur aan de kantoren van de overheid. Architect Sir Herbet Baker ontwierp dit geweldige gebouw dat een iconisch bouwwerk is geworden waar Zuid-Afrika erg trots op is. Er staat ook een enorm standbeeld van Nelson Mandela met fotografische mogelijkheden.
Een rit door de stad om u een idee te geven van het stadsleven in het centrale zakendistrict. We passeren ook Hatfield, onze universiteitsstad.

Amazing experience with Shane. A good blend of professional and ethical values. He has good knowledge of history, etiquettes, places to visit, which normally other guides do not share with tourists.

The day trip was outstanding. The 2 hour surface tour of the Cullinan diamond mine was good , and the little village interesting with great coffee. We saw the major sites of Pretoria with our guide’s stories about growing up there. The Voortrekker Monument and museum were very interesting with Shane’s commentary about the history and displays, and his inside knowledge. Great views from the top. Shane is an excellent guide , very pleasant all day and gave us lots of interesting history, facts and stories about South Africa. The drive passed quickly as he answered our questions. Good value, a highlight of my time in Johannesburg, highly recommended.,

It’s only a transfert ! The mine is stopping, we saw nothing. Be careful, IT’S NOT A UNDERGROUND TOUR When we reserved, we thought it was but no ! Don’t trust photos Shaine is a good guy.
Thankyou Vincent for the comments. Unfortunately when you booked you did not read about the tour. It specifically states that it is a 2 hour surface tour. I'm surprised that you blame me for not reading what you booked for and then give me a 1 star rating. Very unfair. The mine is not stopping. When you explained that you only look at photos I offered you a free tour of Pretoria, that you declined. Anyway I wish you all the best and enjoy South Africa The tour as advertised: Come and see where the Queen of England's diamond's came from and where some of the largest diamonds in the world are found. There is an informative presentation before going on the the surface tour that is 2 hours in duration Surface Tour 2 Hours R 150 Mondays to Sunday 10 am and 12 Option Costs between R100 and R150. We enjoyed visiting Cullinan mine with Shane. Everything was well organised and run. We had a nice lunch in nearby coffee shop suggested by Shane. It was a short, but enjoyable trip. We highly recommend this tour whilst staying in South Africa.

This was a truly outstanding tour. Cullinan (now Petra) Mines was very interesting and my guide was an excellent host - very friendly, personable and helpful. He deserves to be congratulated. The mine’s guide was also very knowledgeable. I have travelled around the world several times and found this tour amongst the very best.

We really enjoyed the surface and underground tour of the historic Cullinan diamond mine near Joburg, South Africa. The guide Leo was a former manager of underground mining and very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The tour was easy physically and very informative. We really appreciate Petra allowing these tours to take place.
