Omdat het de dichtstbevolkte stad van India is, is er een constante stroom van mensen en voertuigen in de stedelijke gebieden. Maar je zult verrast zijn om de kalmte en stilte te zien over sommige van de spirituele locaties in Delhi. Delhi heeft spirituele locaties in kaart gebracht in elk deel ervan, zoals soefi-heiligdommen, oude moskeeën, Gurudwara's en vele hindoeïstische en jaïnistische tempels. Je eerste stop is Jama Masjid, de grootste moskee van India. Breng wat tijd door met wandelen op de binnenplaats van rood zandsteen. Het werd gebouwd in 1656 met de hulp van 5000 arbeiders. Het is gelegen tegenover de koninklijke residentie 'Red Fort', in het midden van Chandni chowk.
Gurudwara Sis Ganj is een van de meest prominente Sikh gurdwara, of Sikh huis van aanbidding, in het oude Delhi.
Bezoek de beroemde markt voor specerijen in de Chandni Chowk. Laat al je zintuigen de Indiase kruiden voelen als nooit tevoren. Maak kennis met enkele interessante feiten en toepassingen van kruiden.

Die watertank, gebruikt door de Guru, bestaat nog steeds in de gurudwara en wordt verondersteld geneeskrachtige eigenschappen te bezitten.
Dit is je laatste stop in Delhi. De Lotus Tempel is een Bahá'í Huis van Aanbidding dat in december 1986 werd ingewijd. Het staat bekend om zijn bloemachtige vorm en is een prominente attractie in de stad geworden.

The guide was a great person who tries to do everything to make the day enjoyable!! I did not feel good instead with the organization as I had a tour reservation at 8:30 and without telling me anything they picked me up at 11:00 so we could not see the lotus temple...

The company accepted my booking for the temples tour on a Sunday but unfortunately when the tour began on Monday morning we realized that two of the temples were closed on Mondays. It was an unfortunate mistake but they went above and beyond to rectify and allowed me to take a (free) tour of the closed temples the following day. The guides were informative, helpful and trustworthy. It's a great way to see parts of Delhi that are tough for lone (or non-native) travelers to navigate on their own such as Chandni Chowk.

Our guide Geetoo (unfortunately we may not have remembered the name correctly?) picked us up at the hotel on time and reported our many interesting things about Indian history, religions and culture. In 5 hours we visited the highlights of altdehli and on a walk and a rickshaw ride through altdehli we are much closer to Indian life came as hoped, even Indian street food was there. Thanks also to the driver who got us safely through Indian traffic. We can only recommend the tour.

Satish gave us a good summary of the Old and New Delhi. He took us through the spice market, and it was a cool experience to see and smell hundreds of different spices. In addition, Kumar (our driver) was a safe and good driver. He was fun and entertaining as well.
