Beschrijving
Dit is een privétour, dus u wordt niet gecombineerd met andere mensen dan die in uw reservering - er is een privéauto en een privéchauffeur-gids speciaal voor u! Met deze tour krijg je de kans om de verbazingwekkende Belogradchik-rotsen te zien - een natuurfenomeen - en het oude fort dat ernaast ligt. Meestal worden de reizen gemaakt met milieuvriendelijke auto's - met een CNG-motor of elektromobielen, zodat we de luchtvervuiling kunnen bestrijden.

De Belogradchik-rotsen vormen een 3 km brede en 30 kilometer lange strook en de rotsformaties bereiken een hoogte van ongeveer 200 meter. Ze werden gevormd op de bodem van een zee als het product van compressie zo'n 230 miljoen jaar geleden en vervolgens erosie in de afgelopen 45 miljoen jaar. De rotsen, grotendeels gemaakt van kalksteen, bevatten ook honderden grotten. Elke heeft een verhaal. Elke rotsformatie draagt een naam: Adam en Eva, het schoolmeisje, de beer, de herderjongen, de derwisj, de eerste plaatsteen, de kameel, de paddestoelen, de koekoek, de rode muur, de madonna, de ruiter, de monniken, De mentale steen, Rebel Velko, de grenen steen en zo verder.
Het fort naast de rotsen werd gebouwd in de middeleeuwen met als doel de weg te beheersen die van Sofia naar de Donau gaat. Je krijgt de kans om het te verkennen met een rondleiding.

Our driver was watching you tube on his lap whine he was driving us. Crossing over the center line that divides the lanes countless times. The tour otherwise was as described and we had no issues with the itinerary. However the driving was very unsafe.
My husband and I loved Belogradchik. It’s so beautiful out there and we had a great experience with our tour guide Yulian. He had a lot of knowledge of that place and of Bulgaria’s history. He was very friendly and punctual. We recommend taking this tour company and tour guide. :-)

It was a nice experience to be here as surroundings were awesome. After reaching on the top everything was amazing. It’s good to book private tour to visit here from Sofia due to 3-4hrs of drive for one side and by public transport it would be hard to get back on same day. Our tour guide was nice as he also took us some other photography places too. It wasn’t too crowded so we easily covered all the spots.

This was a great day trip. The scenery is spectacular - quite other worldly, as is the fortress. Our guide, Angel, spoke very good English, had a lot of information to share, and was a good driver. He also knew of a hidden overlook that gave us a panoramic view of the geology. The car was comfortable as well. We've been exploring Bulgaria for two weeks and this was probably our favorite destination. You shouldn't miss it!

A very impressive site. There are some steep steps and not all of it is suitable if you don't like heights. Most of it is accessible to people with average fitness/mobility. Well worth a visit to see the stunning rocks and scenery.
