Bezoek de erfgoedstad Surabaya met deze privédagtour. we halen je op bij je hotel of cruisehaven en nemen je mee door de hele stad, waarbij we stoppen in traditionele buurten, historische plaatsen en culturele belangenverenigingen, met voldoende tijd om lokaal eten uit te proberen of te winkelen op een lokale markt. We zullen naar historische en culturele bestemmingen in Surabaya slenteren en we gaan uitzoeken van de Europawijk, de Arabische wijk en de Chinese wijk. De duur van de tour is 4-5 uur.

We bezoeken het grootste onderzeeërmonument in Azië, Surabaya Submarine Monument. Deze attractie heeft de echte figuur van het schip zelf.
We zullen rondlopen op Surabaya City Square/Balai Pemuda. Deze plaats heeft een ondergronds stadsplein als museum- en bibliotheekcentrum in Surabaya. Deze plaats was een openbare plaats van de Nederlandse Gemeenschap genaamd "“De Simpangsche Sociёteit”.
Dit is het centrum van de Chinese wijk in Surabaya. We zullen dit gebied passeren en veel Chinese markten, straatvoedsel en Chinese tempels zien.
Verken door te wandelen in Ampel Arabian Market, verken de Arabische wijk in Surabaya
Bezoek aan traditionele vismarkt Pabean, kijk hoe vissers hun verse vis verzamelen op deze traditionele markt. We zullen over deze markt slenteren en ontdekken wat ze op deze markt verkopen.
Bezoek Surabaya Heroes Monument om herinneringen op te halen aan de Slag om Surabaya. U zult begrijpen waarom Surabaya de Stad van de Helden wordt genoemd.
Bezoek aan Mirota Batik en Handicraft de souvenirwinkel en batikboetiek in Surabaya. Je vindt er batik tot houten spatels tot knutselzakjes tot pronkstukken, magneten, sieraden, droomvangers en windgong.
Last but not least: rijd naar de Chinese wijk en bezoek Kelenteng Sanggar Agung en 4 gezichten Budha

Tremendous seven hour excursion through Surabaya with Diki our guide and Agas our driver. Both were exceptionally knowledgeable of the city and it's history, making stops at the Monumen Tugu Pahlawan dan Museum Sepuluh Nopember Surabaya and Monumen Kapal Selam Surabaya all the more interesting and educational. The tour wasn't just history, though, as we were also taken to the old Arabian market as well as - and trust me, I'm NOT a shopper - a really quite fine and rather enormous gift store featuring everything from the standard knick knacks, to a mind boggling selection of excellent Batik clothing and fabrics, culminating with heirloom-quality antique furnishings on the un-air conditioned third floor. Not usually a fan but, wow. One of the day's highlights, though, was lunch at the restaurant chosen by Diki, the Ria Galleria. Beautiful interior, excellent service, and scrumptious food, this establishment hit all the right spots at just the right time. 10/10, highly recommend.

Excellent English ( a Java Uni degree in English ( including Shakespeare!) He was VERY knowledgeable about the history and various cultures which inhabit Java.. We are “people” travelers. Interested in the culture but not thrilled with museums.

Our tour guide, Andri, was very personable, informative and friendly. Our tour included all admission fees which made it easy for us. We spent 4 hours touring temples, a museum and taking in the sights, while learning about the history and people of the area. Highly recommend.

Elvvira & her driver Amit from Trippy Tours were fantastic! We designed our own tour & they accommodated us in every way. She is extremely knowledgeable, speaks excellent English abd made the day special. We toured the 4 headed buddha, temple & mosque. Finished the day with high tea in which they joined us. Our tour was well planned so we would be back to our ship on time. Our tour guide Dina was lovely but didn’t seem as knowledgeable and forthcoming with information I would have liked about Surabaya. She was not offering information and we had to ask questions before she would respond. As the tour progressed she offered more information but mostly about the independence efforts during the war. She was very soft spoken so she was a bit hard to understand. As first time visitors to Surabaya, I felt there was so much we didn’t know and thought were going to learn more on this tour. We had to cut our tour short so we missed the Arab market but she did ask the driver take a detour through the area so we would get an idea of what it was like. We appreciated that!
